According to a memo obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, Trump has participated in a staggering total of 759 press-facing events during his second term. The length of these 759 events spanned 21,058 minutes, or approximately 351 hours, according to the memo. A federal judge handed President Donald Trump a small win Wednesday in his ongoing feud with legacy media, refusing to rule immediately from the bench on whether to restore White House access to CNN, Politico and MSNOW.  The three outlets sued the White House earlier this week after Trump banned them from the White House over their coverage of his administration. The lawsuit argues that presidents have long had adversarial relationships with reporters and haven't always agreed with what the press is reporting, but the "Constitution protects the liberty and property interests that news organizations and White House reporters have in their press credentials and the access those credentials afford them to cover the White House for the benefit of the public."  U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly kept the ban in place while he weighed both sides of the case but seemed skeptical of the administration’s arguments that the outlets' coverage of the Iran war and ballroom construction could amount to a national security risk. Kelly, a Trump appointee, said he would try to issue a ruling "as soon as I can," and will take the arguments under advisement. Why has God appointed faith as the means by which we receive salvation? Because faith leaves no room for the sinner to boast. If salvation depended even partly on what we could contribute, then some portion of the glory would belong to us. We could point to our morality, our discipline, our decisions, our religious effort, or even the strength of our faith and say, “I did my part.” Scripture shuts that door completely. Paul asks, “Where then is boasting? It is excluded” (Romans 3:27). He then says that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law (Romans 3:28). God saves in such a way that the sinner arrives with nothing in his hands and leaves with everything in Christ. Faith does not earn salvation. Faith receives Christ. That distinction matters. The power is not in the strength of our believing, but in the Saviour whom faith receives. A weak hand can still receive a priceless gift because the value lies in the gift, not in the hand. This is why Paul says, “For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace” (Romans 4:16). Faith and grace belong together because faith contributes no merit. It looks away from self and rests entirely upon Another. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). The gospel therefore humiliates human pride before it comforts the sinner. We are not saved because we were wiser, more spiritual, more willing, or more worthy than others. We are saved because God was merciful. Even our boasting is redirected. Paul says God saves “so that no man may boast before God” and then concludes, “Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:29, 31). That is why salvation is by grace through faith.
