Authentic Duas

The final two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah teach us the complete journey of the believer. He begins with faith, آمَنَ He receives revelation, بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ He submits, سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا He recognises his shortcomings, غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا He remembers his destination, وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ He trusts Allah’s mercy, لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا He takes responsibility, لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ He asks for pardon, forgiveness and mercy, وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا And finally, he declares that Allah alone is his Protector, أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا These ayaat remind us that the believer is not perfect. He believes, submits, strives, seeks forgiveness and continually returns to Allah.

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗗𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗨𝗔 There’s a powerful dua The Prophet ﷺ taught specifically for sadness, grief, and emotional heaviness. He ﷺ said: “Whoever is afflicted with sorrow or grief and says this du’a, Allah will remove his sorrow and replace it with joy.” It was said by the Companions, “Shall we not learn it?” He ﷺ said, “Indeed, whoever hears it should learn it.” (Musnad Ahmad, no. 3528)

The Power of الحمد لله (Alhamdulilah), All praise and thanks belong to Allah. Do you know the true greatness behind this beautiful word? - It was the first word spoken by Adam عليه السلام. - It’s the first word in the Quran. - It’s the best form of Dua. - On the Day of Judgement, the best people will be those who praised Allah often. - Every time you say it, a tree is planted for you in Paradise. - It’s a word for every moment, grief or joy, ease or hardship. - It fills your scales with good deeds. - And most beautifully, Allah praised Himself with it. Always say Alhamdulillah, because Allah promises, وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ …If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.” (Surah Ibrahim: 7) So keep your heart alive with Alhamdulillah, for every “Alhamdulillah” invites more mercy, more blessings, and more peace into your life.

‎Debt is heavy. Financial stress is real. The Prophet ﷺ taught us powerful duas for times like these.👇🏿 ‏1. Du’a for Relief from Debt ‏اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ، وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ ‏Allahummak-fini bi halalika ’an haramika, wa aghnini bi fadlika ’amman siwak. ‏“O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful instead of what You have made unlawful, and make me independent by Your bounty from everyone besides You.” ‏2. Du’a Seeking Refuge from Debt ‏اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ ‏Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-‘ajzi wal-kasal, wal-bukhli wal-jubn, wa dala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal. ‏“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, being overwhelmed by debt, and being overpowered by people.”

Dua to recite after seeing An Afflicted person by the Disease or Virus or any other Problems Umar Radi Allahu Anhu narrated that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whoever sees an afflicted person then recites below dua he shall not be struck by that affliction. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي مِمَّا ابْتَلاَكَ بِهِ وَفَضَّلَنِي عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ تَفْضِيلاً Al-Hamdulillahi Alladhi Aafani Mimmabtalaka bihi wa faddalani Ala kathirin mimman khalaqa tafdila All praise is due to Allah who saved me from that which He has afflicted you , and blessed me greatly over many of those whom He has created. At-Tabrani-729 , Hasan , Al-Baihiqi-472-Hasan

When death comes, do not be attached to this world... Do not worry about what will happen to your body after you leave this life. Your Muslim brothers and sisters will fulfil what Allah has legislated. They will: 1. Remove your clothes. 2. Wash your body. 3. Shroud you. 4. Pray the funeral prayer over you. 5. Carry you from your home. 6. Place you in your grave, your first station of the Hereafter. Many people will attend your funeral. Some may leave their work and worldly affairs to bid farewell to you. Yet remember, the greatest benefit you could have received was not merely people standing beside your body after death, but sincere advice, obedience to Allah, and righteous companionship while you were alive. Your possessions will remain behind: Your keys. Your books. Your belongings. Your clothes. Your wealth. Your home. Your possessions. Your family may distribute what you leave behind. If they give charity from their own wealth on your behalf, this may benefit you by Allah’s permission. But what will truly accompany you to your grave are your deeds. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When the son of Ādam dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who supplicates for him.” (Saḥīḥ Muslim) Know that this world will continue after you depart. The markets will remain open. The people will continue their lives. Your position will be filled by someone else. Your wealth will pass to your heirs. But you will stand before Allah alone. You will be questioned about your faith, your deeds, your obligations, and how you used the blessings Allah gave you. The people who knew you will remember you according to what they knew of you. Some will grieve briefly. Some will remember you for longer. Some will make du‘ā’ for you. But eventually, people return to their lives. Your time among them will end. Your true journey will begin. The grave is a reality. The resurrection is a reality. The standing before Allah is a reality. Allah says: “Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your full reward on the Day of Resurrection.” (Qur’an 3:185) When you enter the grave, these things will leave you: Your appearance. Your wealth. Your strength. Your children. Your homes. Your possessions. Your status. Everything of this worldly life. What remains is your īmān and your deeds. So ask yourself: What have I prepared for my meeting with Allah? Prepare through: 1. Guarding the obligatory acts, especially the five daily prayers. 2. Performing voluntary acts of worship. 3. Giving charity sincerely for Allah’s sake. 4. Repenting from sins and striving for righteousness. 5. Standing in prayer at night. 6. Holding firmly to the Qur’an and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the righteous predecessors. Perhaps Allah will have mercy upon you and save you. Do not delay repentance, for no soul knows when its appointed time will arrive. Allah says: “And remind, for indeed the reminder benefits the believers.” (Qur’an 51:55) May Allah grant us a good ending, make our graves gardens from the gardens of Paradise, and allow us to meet Him while He is pleased with us.

The Tashahhud (at-Tahiyaat): between the Sunnah and what is being circulated on social media: ⭐ Narrated Abdullaah ibn Masood رضي الله عته: When we prayed with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, (and before the Tashahhud was enjoined), we used to say: As-Salaam be on Allaah from His worshipers, As-Salaam be on Gabriel, As-Salaam be on Michael, As-Salaam be on so-and-so. When the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم finished his prayer, he faced us and said: “Allaah Himself is As-Salaam (Peace), so when one sits in the prayer, one should say: “at-Tahiyaatu-lillaahi Was-Salawaatu, Wat-Taiyibaatu, As-Salaamu Alaika aiyuhan- Nabiyyu wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu, As-Salaamu Alaina wa alaa Ibaadillaahi assaaliheen”, FOR IF HE SAYS SO, THEN IT (THE PRAYER OF PEACE) WILL BE FOR ALL THE RIGHTEOUS SLAVE OF ALLAAH IN THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. (Then he should say): “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallaahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Abduhoo wa rasuluhu”, and then he can choose whatever speech (i.e. invocation) he wishes.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree] ********** ⭐ In another narration it is reported from Ibn Masood and Ibn Abbaas رضي الله عنهم: “The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to teach us the Tashahhud just as he would teach us a Surah of the Qur’aan.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim] ********** ⚡ The Ahaadeeth on Tashahhud have been narrated by Ibn Masood, Ibn Abbaas, Ibn Umar, Abee Musaa al-Asharee, Umar and Aaishah رضي الله عنهم. ۩•۞•۩ ✔ So it is clear from the Sunnah the importance of learning and teaching the Tashahhud, because the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught the Tashahhud to his Companions in the same way as he would teach them the Qur’aan. ✔ The Companions didn’t know how to recite the Tashahhud, they did not know how to send the Salaam on every righteous creation of Allaah تعالى. They would send the Salaam to each one of them by naming them individually: Gabriel, Michael, and so on. So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم taught them the correct words on how to recite it. 🚫 Nowhere is it mentioned that the reason for this Tashahhud is that it is a conversation between Allaah and His Prophet on the night of al-Israa and al-Miraaj (the night of ascension). 🚫 The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم never said that this is how I spoke with Allaah تعالى on the night of ascension. ۩•۞•۩ 🚫 But what is being circulated is that the reason for the Tashahhud is that it is actually a part of the conversation between Allaah تعالى and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. 🚫 Since the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم could not say Salaam to Allaah, that this why he said: “At-Tahiyaatu lillaahi…” 🚫 And Allaah replied back saying: “As-Salaamu alaika ayyuhan-Nabiyy…” 🚫 So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم replied: “As-Salaamu Alaina wa `alaa…” 🚫 And hearing this, the Angels said: “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallaah…” 🚫 And the message ends by saying: “I now understand the importance of this conversation in our daily prayers and how the Salaat (Tashahhud) was prescribed to us.” ۩•۞•۩ May Allaah guide us to the correct understanding of the Deen! Verily, the one who initiated this message has overlooked the Sunnah and the real reason for the Tashahhud, and used his own logic and storytelling ability to concoct this story. No matter how amazing it may seem, in the end it is a fabrication. If it was true, then there would have had no difficulty in mentioning the source of this story. But alas! It is only a figment of this person’s imagination. May Allaah guide us and protect us from speaking about Allaah and His Messenger without knowledge. And Allaah alone is the One Who grants success. "رَبِّ إِنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانتَصِرْ" "My Lord, I am overpowered, so help me." — Qur'an 26:10

Dua1 اَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ ، وَهَامَّةٍ ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ A’oodhu bi kalimaat-illaahit-taammati min kulli shayṭaanin, wa haammatin, wa min kulli ‛aynin laammah I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allaah, from every devil and every poisonous reptile, and from every bad eye. ______ Dua2 بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لاَ يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَىْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Transliteration Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma’as-mihi shai’un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama’i, wa Huwas-Sami’ul-‘Alim TranslationIn the name of Allah with Whose Name nothing on earth or in heaven harms and He is the All-Hearing the All-Knowing and is then harmed by anything. __________ Dua3 Narrated Anas ibn Malik Radhi allahu anhu( To get the protection from the diseases) The Prophet Sal-Allahu Alaihi Wasallam used to say: *اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ* Allahumma inni Auzubika minal-barasi, Wa Al-jununi, Wal-judami, wa min sayyiil-Asqam. One of the most powerful dua in the Qur'an: قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ أَنْتَ تَحْكُمُ بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ فِي مَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ "Say, O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between Your servants concerning that over which they used to differ." (39:46) Saʿid ibn Jubayr (a successor of the Prophet’s companions) said: "I know of a verse that no one recites and then asks Allah for something except that Allah grants him what he asks." He then recited this very verse. When you're confused... recite it. When you're wronged... recite it. When you don't know what tomorrow holds... recite it.

‘Uthmān ibn ‘Affān رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ narrated: ‘The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: “There is no servant who recites in the morning of every day and the evening of every night, *بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلا فِي الْسَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ* Bismillāh-hilladhi lā yadurru ma’a ismihi shay’un fil-ardi wa lā fis-samā wa huwa as-Samee’ ul-‘Aleem In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name nothing on the earth or in the Heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. three times, except that nothing shall harm him.” [1] Abu Dāwūd 5022 and at-Tirmidhi 3388. The Power of Istighfaar : What effect does it have on your life? One of the righteous people said, "Do not overthink rather do a lot of istighfaar, for Allah taala opens doors with istighfaar that are not opened by overthinking."

The Secret to Getting Your Du'as Answered Can Be Found in the Du'a of Prophet Sulayman (AS). Allah tells us about the beautiful du'a of Prophet Sulayman (AS): قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَّا يَنبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِيٓ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ "He said: My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom that will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower." Qur'an 38:35 Look carefully at the order. Before Sulayman (AS) asked for anything, he first asked for forgiveness. "My Lord, forgive me..." Then notice something else. After asking for forgiveness, Sulayman (AS) made an enormous request: • A kingdom unlike any other. • Control over the winds. • Authority over the jinn. • Unparalleled power and dominion. He did not limit his request. Many people believe in Allah's power, but deep down they secretly doubt whether Allah will do it for them. So they ask for little. But Sulayman (AS) teaches us: When asking Allah, think bigger than your circumstances. Because Allah's treasures never decrease. Then he ended his du'a with: إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ "Indeed, You are the Bestower." Al-Wahhab is the One who gives freely, abundantly, and repeatedly without asking for anything in return. SubhanAllah, Sulayman (AS) mentioned the Name of Allah that perfectly matched his request. And this is another beautiful secret of du'a: Call upon Allah through His Beautiful Names. • Need provision? Call upon Ar-Razzaq. • Need mercy? Call upon Ar-Rahman. • Need forgiveness? Call upon Al-Ghafur. • Need a gift, a blessing, or what seems impossible? Call upon Al-Wahhab. So the du'a of Prophet Sulayman (AS) teaches us a beautiful formula: • Begin with istighfar. • Ask Allah for even what seems impossible. • Mention the Name of Allah that connects to your request. • Trust in His limitless generosity. Because when you ask the One who is Al-Wahhab, never think your request is too big. O Allah, indeed You are the Bestower, so grant us from Your bounty and Your mercy that which will delight our eyes in this world and the Hereafter.

💫 Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is: اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306] Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant. Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.
