I don’t understand this resistance against education in our culture. Perhaps it’s centuries of superstitions. Or perhaps a rebellion against another aspect of our culture that is performative behavior (تعارف کردن مثلا), the opposite of performative would be raw, unfiltered, emotional. We rebel against our culture by opposing education but there’s also a flavor of nationalism to it because being knowledgeable and knowing all these information that are the fruits of human effort as a collective and not as distinct races, ethnicities, etc is of no use for a mindset that values Self solely. I

Academic education is barely sufficient for leveling up as a person. But even genuine, deep education doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. We don’t have this problem in Iran though, luckily being educated is mocked in Iran /neg /src

I think early academic history should be focused on the past mistakes and the ugly sides of history to be honest So we can learn from our ancestors’ mistakes But it’s been proven time and time again how being educated doesn’t necessarily translate to being a good person.

حالا من که قبلا اینو گفتم ولی بازم میگم تعداد خیلی کمی هستن که از اول سکشوالیتی و جندر آیدنتیتی خودشون رو بدونن و ممکنه سال ها طول بکشه تا خود واقعیشون رو بتونن پیدا کنن، این طول کشیدنه قابل قضاوت نیست چون اگر من هفت سال پیش فهمیدم پنسکشوالم یکی همسن من ممکنه دو سال یا ده سال دیگه متوجهش شه و بتونه قبولش کنه و ربطی هم به خودآگاهی یا جوگیر بودن نداره، طرف حتی اگر لفظا جوگیر هم باشه اون زمانی که توی اصطلاح "جو" قرار داره برای خودش کاملا واقعیه و باور داره چیزیه که واقعا هست برا همین بهتره روشون زوم نکنیم
