2. इथियोपिया के प्रधानमंत्री अबी अहमद और उनकी 'प्रॉस्पेरिटी पार्टी' ने देश के संसदीय चुनावों में भारी बहुमत के साथ लगातार दूसरी बार जीत हासिल की है。
➨ उन्हें वर्ष 2019 में इरीट्रिया के साथ सीमा विवाद को शांतिपूर्वक सुलझाने के ऐतिहासिक प्रयासों के लिए 'नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार' से सम्मानित किया चुका है。

➨ वे तपन कुमार डेका का स्थान लेंगे और उनका कार्यकाल 2 वर्ष का होगा। आईबी (IB) भारत की सबसे पुरानी खुफिया एजेंसी है, जिसकी स्थापना 1887 में गृह मंत्रालय के अधीन की गई थी।

1. Senior officer Mahesh Dixit has been appointed as the new Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
➨ He succeeds Tapan Kumar Deka for a tenure of 2 years. The IB is India's oldest intelligence agency, established in 1887 under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
2. Following the devastating earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 on the mainland of Venezuela, the Government of India has launched 'Operation Amistad' to provide humanitarian relief.
➨ An Indian Air Force C17 Globemaster aircraft has been deployed carrying health equipment and emergency relief materials. In Spanish, 'Amistad' translates to 'friendship'.
3. India-China border trade has resumed after a gap of 6 years through the historic Lipulekh Pass located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.

4. Bangladesh has officially joined as the 27th member country of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA).
