| 4 | Residents of Riamute Village in Githunguri woke up to a shocking tragedy after three family members were found dead in their home.
The deceased have been identified as Kennedy Kamau Kabaiko, his wife, and their two-year-old son.
According to reports, Kamau left behind a lengthy letter in which he described the emotional pain he had been carrying since the death of his brother, Kabiru, in a road accident along Thika Road in April 2024.
In the letter, Kamau claimed that some relatives blamed him for his brother's death and that the accusations had taken a heavy toll on his mental well-being. He alleged that he had repeatedly been told he was responsible for the tragedy and felt increasingly isolated.
Kamau also revealed that he had been making plans to seek employment abroad in the hope of starting afresh and escaping the emotional burden. However, he indicated that he had lost hope and could no longer cope with the situation.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
