Shadow testing is a way of testing new feature releases on a prod env without actually delivering anything to the clients. Here is how it works. A clients sends request to your system and you’ll make a copy of that request and play it on another prod machine which has the release candidate. You’ll then compare the result of both runs at the end of the day and check for any discrepancies. You’ll start with few sample requests then increase the number of sample requests to increase your confidence in releasing that feature to prod.

Remember when I mentioned I was broke and don’t ask me why. Here is the why. I was applying for Schengen Visa. When you apply for a tourist visa, you need to book your flights and hotel before applying for the Visa. I wanted a multiple entry visa so I also have to book flight from Spain to other Europe country. Basically I chose Spain and German for that. So whether I got the visa or not the flight fee is non refundable and also visa application fee which in total costed me a bit above £600. Yhea that’s why I was broke in June and because of Scotland I was broke in May 😂😂😂. And of course we got our Visaaaaaaaa today 🙌🙌🙌🙌.
