Two little friends❤️

Louis Schwartzberg: 30 Years of Capturing What the Human Eye Misses American photographer and director Louis Schwartzberg has spent decades filming nature, capturing moments that we often simply don't notice. His film "Wings of Life" (for Disneynature, narrated by Meryl Streep) features breathtaking shots: hummingbirds suspended in mid-air near flowers, bats filmed at night in slow motion, and monarch butterflies in Mexico, making the trees appear almost alive. Behind each of these shots lies countless sleepless nights spent waiting for the perfect moment. In the early days of his career, a single roll of film could take a month to shoot. Later, Schwartzberg left cameras running in time-lapse mode 24/7 – and he has done so for over 30 years. "We must appreciate the beauty in the most ordinary things." For Schwartzberg, this work is not just about technique and patience. His desire to see wonder in the details was shaped by his parents, who survived the Holocaust and started their lives in the United States from scratch. "I grew up in Brooklyn in a family that had been through terrible things," he said. "They taught me to appreciate every moment. When I look at a flower or a butterfly's wing, I don't just see an object. I see a miracle that exists because someone once survived so that I could see it." His films are not just documentaries. They are a reminder that life is fragile, beautiful, and deserves our attention. It's no coincidence that his series "Moving Art" was released on Netflix, and his work has been shown in IMAX theaters. Perhaps that's why his shots of monarch butterflies in Mexico are among the most powerful. Millions of wings, a single moment. And behind this is not just talent, but the ability to see beauty where others pass by.

Happy Wednesday friends!❤️

"And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.” Ezekiel 6:10-11 KJV

🦢 The Perfect Landing: How Swans Land on Water Watching a swan land is like witnessing a masterclass in aerodynamics. These majestic birds approach the water low and smoothly, with fully extended wings, using their entire body as a natural braking system. 🛫 Air Cushion and Gentle Glide The secret lies in how the wings interact with the air. Flying at low altitude creates a special air cushion between the wing and the water's surface – it softens the speed and extends the glide, making the landing almost silent. 🦶 Webbed Feet – Like Brakes and Skis Just before touching down, the swan extends its legs forward. Its webbed feet work in two modes simultaneously: they slow down the movement, acting as brakes, and at the same time, allow it to glide on the water, like on skis. Thanks to this, the bird doesn't "splash" down on the water, but gently glides, gradually reducing its speed. ⚖️ Perfect Weight Distribution While the legs are handling the braking, the swan's body and tail distribute the impact force across the water's surface. Then, the bird lowers its chest, smoothly folds its wings – and the landing is complete. All of this happens in seconds. But behind this simplicity lies tens of thousands of years of evolution, which has transformed the swan into the perfect "pilot" of the aquatic realm ✨
