| 3 |  On Sunday 7/26/2026 SLTPD was notified by an El Dorado County Sheriffs Sergeant that a male subject had lowered the American Flag from the front of the SLTPD station to the ground and was trying to light it on fire. Officers quickly arrived and detained a 36 year old South Lake Tahoe resident. Officers determined that the male had just been released from the jail after having been arrested on Saturday 7/25/2026 by SLTPD for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication after he was reported to have been shooting arrows at the Y. The male has been arrested by SLTPD six times since April 2026 for Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, and Resisting Arrest. The suspect was arrested and booked back into the El Dorado County Jail for felony Attempted Arson.
