happy september holidays!!! please sleep until your body remembers what 8 hours feels like 😭

the best teachers don't just make a subject easier they make you feel less stupid for not understanding it yet if a teacher ever did that for you, tell them today happy teachers' day ❤️

term 3 done congrats to everyone who was mentally in the september holidays since monday 🥳

school is basically: wait for recess wait for lunch wait to go home then reach home and somehow miss your friends

sometimes a subject feels harder because you're finally doing harder questions that doesn't mean you're getting worse it means you're past the easy part

it's almost sep if your august study plan completely failed, don't make another perfect timetable tonight look at why it failed did you plan way too much? keep avoiding one subject? sleep at 2am every night? spend more time making notes than testing yourself? change the part that actually screwed you there's still time, but only if you stop repeating the same plan

when exams get close, every subject starts feeling urgent you think about math while studying chem you think about chem while writing an essay then you panic because nothing feels finished you cannot study everything at once pick the paper that's coming up first or the subject that's hurting you most stay with one thing long enough to actually learn it

every friend group has: the one who finished all the papers the one who says "i'll start tomorrow" the one asking "got homework meh" and the one sending answers at 11:58pm be honest. which one are you 😭

one bad study day is normal what screws you is what happens after "i wasted today" "i'm so behind" "this week is gone" "i'll start again on monday" nah sleep. wake up. continue you had a bad day. that's all don't give it the rest of your week too

getting destroyed by a practice paper feels like shit especially when the person beside you says it was easy but it's better to find your weak spots now than during the actual exam mark it properly. find the 2 or 3 topics costing you the most marks. work on those first don't just stare at the score and feel bad the score is only useful if it changes what you study next

please don't compare your study hours with people on tele someone posting a 10-hour timer tells you nothing about how focused they were or whether they understood anything if you can focus properly for 40 mins, do 40 mins take a break. come back later the goal isn't to look locked in it's to know your shit during the exam

if you've spent 30 mins staring at the same math question, stop look at the solution and find the first line where you went "huh?" that's probably the thing you need to learn maybe it's algebra. maybe it's a formula from the last topic. maybe you don't even understand what the question is asking go back and fix that first sometimes you're not bad at the chapter. you're just missing one thing the chapter assumes you already know

when the teacher asks "understand?" the whole class: yes the group chat five minutes later: "what was that" "what page" "got homework meh"

if your notes are open but telegram is also open you're not studying yes i'm aware of the irony 😅

how's everyone holding up? this part of the year is damn tiring you're already tired from months of school, but exams are close enough that every break makes you feel guilty so you sit with your notes open, scroll your phone, and somehow neither study nor rest if you're studying, put the phone away and study if you're exhausted, sleep trying to do both at once just makes you feel bad the entire day you still have time. use it well, but please rest too

i love singapore i love that it’s safe, that things work, and that there are so many paths open to us but the pressure of growing up here can still feel damn heavy the grades. the comparisons. the feeling that no matter how well you do, someone else did better you can be grateful for the opportunities here and still feel tired of fighting for them you can love home and still wish it was a little less stressful to grow up here gratitude doesn’t mean pretending the pressure is easy so today, i’m thankful for singapore not because it’s perfect, but because it’s home and because i believe home can keep getting better happy national day 🇸🇬

👆almost 400 responses ~80% chose blue but if you chose red, you’ll survive no matter what we’ll all choose red if we were rational people 😅

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
