Developed by Russia's United Engine Corporation, the PD-8 has been designed to power domestically produced aircraft, including the SJ-100 regional jet and the Be-200 amphibious aircraft. The engine produces around 8 tonnes of take-off thrust and incorporates approximately 25 advanced technologies and materials, including new-generation heat-resistant alloys and sophisticated cooling systems.
