For many years affirmative action laws have privileged all nonWhites over Whites. members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes are entitled to federally funded healthcare, often with no cost at the point of service. They get many grants and other services that specially privileges them as a race while also qualifying for every welfare program the nation offers its own citizens. The trunk or treat represents the decay of our society. It exists for two very important reasons. 1. Non participation. As we have imported people who do not want to assimilate and care little for our community traditions we find neighborhoods where few people participate in decorating and putting out candy. Some people have gotten tired of putting out candy as children from low trust cultures have ruined the holiday by taking advantage in such a way that many would prefer to dissuade them from coming into their neighborhoods by no longer putting out candy at all. 2. Safety. Trunk or treats are largely put together by groups of people who know each other or are in at least a sort of network with each other. I wish things were how they used to be but the trunk or treat shows how American traditions will adapt in order to persist. America is chasing and our traditions are changing but neither our people nor our way of life will vanish because we will find a way to adapt and to bring that magic to our children one way or another.
