Theyโre German, Swiss, Dutch and used to be just a religious group but because they marry only Mennonites, theyโve become their own unique ethnicity and they BREED LIKE RABBITS. The Latin American Mennonites have 7-10 kids per family.
For them birthing children is a sense of vocational duty. They have more kids so there will be more farm workers.
Theyโve been persecuted religiously in many different countries, and part of the reason they have so many children is because they have the mindset of earning their stay and freedom from religious persecution by being an objective net positive.
When you see Mennonites emigrate somewhere, it is almost always because they were *recruited* there. They never move unless itโs to escape religious persecution or find another Mennonite group with more genetic diversity to continue growing their population. They are not a nomadic people otherwise.
