The most anticipated and largest tournament started yesterday β hooray!
π² Backgammon main tournament (322 players from 41 countries)
After 3 rounds, 40 players remain undefeated, and 120 have one loss. A total of 279 players advanced to the next round! 43 players have been eliminated
π² Longgammon main tournament (116 players from 15 countries)
Seven rounds were played, only Kirill Ignatiev (Russia π·πΊ) remains undefeated! Seven players have one loss, and 26 players remain in contention
π Masters Cup Backgammon (128 players)
Two rounds have been completed β 32 players continue their run
π€Doubles (66 pairs)
33 pairs remain in play β one of the playersβ favorite tournaments is gaining momentum

π The Asian Grand Prix 2026 in Tashkent is in full swing!
More than 400 participants from about 50 countries are registered for the tournament. For an entire week, the worldβs strongest players will compete, while fans and spectators follow the action. The atmosphere is that of a true international sports festival
π€© The tournament features a record-breaking $500,000 added prize fund β the largest in the history of backgammon
π Registration is running successfully at the tournament venue, where the organizing team welcomes participants, assists with documents, and answers all questions
βοΈ Two daily coffee breaks are provided for players β a great opportunity to rest, recharge, and socialize in an informal setting
π Winners will receive exclusive trophies and medals, becoming true symbols of success and a lasting part of the tournamentβs history
π₯ Every day features live broadcasts from 4 stream tables
π Professional commentators in both English and Russian accompany the broadcasts, creating atmosphere and helping the audience gain a deeper understanding of the action on the board
β¨οΈ Dedicated transcribers are also at work, recording the moves to make every match available for review and analysis later
πΉ All 175 playing tables are equipped with cameras, recording every match in full. This unprecedented step has been warmly received by players and participants, ensuring transparency and strengthening the principle of fair play

The competition kicked off with a bright and festive opening ceremony. Everybody welcomed the video with IBF President Umar Kremlev. Players enjoyed the show and then dove into an intense tournament battle
