🌍 The First World Longgammon Championship & Georgian Grand Prix 2026 in Tbilisi — how it was More than 500 participants from nearly 60 countries gathered in Tbilisi for one of the largest backgammon events in history. For seven days, players competed for prestigious titles and a record prize fund, while spectators followed every move in an atmosphere of friendship, competition, and international unity. 🏟 Registration was organized quickly and efficiently. The organizing team welcomed participants, assisted with documents, and answered all questions throughout the event 🎉 The Opening Ceremony became one of the highlights of the week. Participants enjoyed spectacular videos, traditional Georgian songs and dances, while IBF President Umar Kremlev personally welcomed athletes from the stage and wished them success in the competition 👨‍⚖️ An International Refereeing Seminar was held during the tournament under the leadership of Chief Arbiter Arda Findikoglu. Fifty participants from Argentina, Australia, Iran, Ireland, Jordan, Mongolia, Qatar, Russia, South Africa, and Uzbekistan attended the seminar. Forty of them successfully passed the examination and received International Referee Certificates ☕️ Two daily coffee breaks gave players an opportunity to relax, recharge, and socialize in an informal atmosphere 🏆 Winners received exclusive trophies and medals, becoming part of the history of the first-ever World Longgammon Championship and Georgian Grand Prix 🎥 Live broadcasts were streamed daily from four feature tables 🎙 Professional commentators in English and Russian accompanied the matches, helping viewers better understand the action on the board ⌨️ Dedicated transcribers recorded moves throughout the tournament, making matches available for future review and analysis 📹 All 175 playing tables were equipped with cameras, recording every match in full and ensuring transparency and fair play 🎲 Every table was equipped with: • Baffle boxes to guarantee fair dice rolls • Precision dice individually provided by the organizers for every match 📺 A professional media team worked throughout the week, producing dynamic content, interviews, photos, and videos 🙏 A duty doctor was available during the tournament, ensuring the health and safety of all participants 🔥 The First World Longgammon Championship & Georgian Grand Prix 2026 brought together world-class organization, unforgettable matches, and powerful emotions that united the global backgammon communication!
