Dr. Kexin WANG holds a Ph.D. from Kobe University, Japan, and has gained international professional experience with the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Cambodia’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS). Her research focuses on the economics of education, examining how education policies and interventions improve learning outcomes and advance educational equity. At the School of Public Policy, National University of Management (NUM-SPP)**, Dr. Wang teaches Human Right, connecting foundational human rights principles with contemporary policy challenges concerning equality, dignity, and non-discrimination. Hello everyone, my name is Sok Kimsun, and I am a Year 2 student majoring in Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at NUM School of Public Policy. I chose to study at NUMSPP because I wanted to study International Relations in English and have the chance to learn from professors with different backgrounds. So far, my experience at NUMSPP has been really good. I have met many friendly classmates, professors, and staff who are always willing to help and support students. I also really appreciate the opportunities that NUMSPP gives us outside the classroom. One of them was the opportunity to join a two-week summer program in Hanoi, Vietnam, where I met students from different countries and learned about law and different cultures. Experiences like this have helped me become more confident, open-minded, and willing to try new things. I am happy to be a student at NUMSPP, and I hope to continue learning, gaining more experience, and making good memories here.

Dr. Keiichi Ogawa is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Policy at the National University of Management (NUM) and a Professor/ Vice Dean in the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies (GSICS) & University Senator at Kobe University in Japan. He is also Director of the Global Research Center for Education Policy and Planning (GEPP) and UNESCO Chair of Education for Gender, Disaster Resilience, and Well-being at Kobe University. Dr. Ogawa is a former Education Economist at the World Bank and a former Governing Board Member of the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP). He is also an Honorary Professor at Kyrgyz National University, the National University of Laos, and the University of Dhaka. He has served in various graduate schools as an Affiliate, Adjunct, or Visiting Professor, including Columbia University’s Teachers College, George Washington University, the University of Hawaii, and the University of Tokyo. His research interests lie in the economics of education, education finance, comparative international education, and public policy in the education sector. He has worked on development assistance activities in over 30 countries and has authored or co-edited twelve books and over 150 journal articles/book chapters. Many are issues related to educational development and cooperation in international settings. On 26 September 2026, NUM School of Public Policy conducted a consultative workshop on curriculum design for bachelor’s and master’s programs. The workshop opened with welcoming remarks by Associate Professor Dr. Nop Kanharith, Director of the School of Public Policy, followed by the presentation of the first draft of curriculum research. An engaging discussion was then led by Assistant Professor Dr. Kim Veara, Director of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute, focusing on essential skills, capabilities, and subjects for future public policy graduates. This important dialogue brought together government officials, NGOs, academics, and development partners — including the GEDSI Consortium and The Asia Foundation — to review the draft curriculum.
