Welp, looks like I'm joining the WISER Quantum and AI program lol. Uni life tip: have a reference letter in handy. If you have completed more than one semester, there is probably one good teacher who is able to write you a good letter. And tbh, you usually end up writing it yourself and getting their approval and stamp on it. While at it, another tip, unless they know you really well and you're confident they'll write you a good letter, DON'T LET THEM WRITE IT THEMSELVES FULLY. If a reference letter isn't a formality ena if you're applying to something competitive, a template letter is no better than no letter. Make sure to customize it yourself, add specific stories and details, and make it yours. But yeah, always have one in handy. And you can also keep changing it if you want, personally, there are some teachers from my current semester I'm pretty sure will write me much better letters (themselves this time) than my previous ones, so that's something to keep in mind :))

Serious question, where can I find Yoghurt in this city? (If any left) DM @not_eldana or comment, either would work.

Some caveats here, but this was a good read. Check it out!

Kind of a brain dump of sorts: On Approach vs Value
With some things, the approach matters more than the thing itself. So say, with emotions and emotional management, what matters is the way you learn to handle them, sit with them, and make decisions through them. Bad emotions are always going to be there, you're going to be sad, angry, devastated, envious... the list goes on. What matters is whether you've trained yourself to have healthy mechanisms, systems, discipline, to get through them. Occi said something once which was along the lines of "If you have a good base with your processes, then it's only going to get better, and vice-versa". I've been mulling through that for quite a while now, and I could really see where he's coming from. Another example is balance. It's taking quite a bit to process, but I'm learning to accept that balance, in a perfectly literal sense, doesn't exist. There will be days when you'll be surviving off of 2 hours of sleep and energy drinks, there'll be days you have to show up for people back-to-back, and there'll be days when all you need to (and must) do is bedrot and recover. And I can't help but think that with balance too, the approach, again, matters more than the balance itself. So learning how to prioritize, say no, get your baselines intact (because 2 hours of sleep is not a flex, it never is a flex), build your fallback systems, delegate when things get too much, get yourself back up when you're afraid of moving, I'm thinking these things matter more than going after "balance" itself. And come to think of it... I can't help but think this applies to a lot more things than what I'm seeing in front of me, even the majority of things. It's kind of counterintuitive, no? The fact that to get to the things you want, is not by going after them directly, but by building the conditions and systems that naturally lead you to them. But then again, quite a lot of things in life are strangely counterintuitive, I'm learning 👩‍🦯‍➡️👩‍🦯‍➡️ Food for thought?

As always, comments and criticisms appreciated :))

Definitely not my proudest work by far at all, but I do think it's somewhat insightful and it is in a topic I'm very much interested in. So ladies and gentlemen, meet: On The Chain That Decides The Plate

Realizing I remember the first season in French line-by-line 👩‍🦯‍➡️👩‍🦯‍➡️👩‍🦯‍➡️ French version: Link English version: Link If you have little (very little) siblings you're thinking of introducing to any of the languages, it's a highly recommended series from me. It is also in other languages, I think, German, Italian mnamn. Something worth checking out.
