Certain medications (e.g., isoniazid)

Dietary history
Low blood niacin levels (if tested)

Nicotinamide 300–500 mg per day orally.
High-protein diet
Meat, eggs, fish, peanuts, dairy, legumen.
Treat underlying cause (e.g., alcoholism, malabsorption).

Dairy products
Legumes
Whole grains Nuts and seeds.
