BJP MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma has been appointed Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Saturday.
The 62-year-old will assume office from the date he takes charge. Sharma’s current Rajya Sabha term is scheduled to end on November 25.
