On March 20, 1934-XII, the Head of Government declared at the second five-year Assembly of the Regime: « From a survey carried out, on my orders, by the Central Institute of Statistics, it appears that there are approximately 3 million and 390,000 isolated rural houses. > Of these, 142,298 are uninhabitable and therefore must be demolished; > 475,000 are habitable but with major repairs; > 930,000 with small repairs; > the other 1,84,000 are habitable without repairs.
