It is this type that prevails in Russian literature. The West knows Don Quixote and Faust, while Russia knows Gorky's bum and Tolstoy's Ivan the Fool, who wants to break the enemy's will by running away before the enemy. These are characters that no Diogenes would find in the West. "Chivalry and loyalty," writes Emerson ("Essays"), "are the chief attributes of the types of English literature... These attributes may be characterised in one word: gentleman. The literary type of Moscow literature, on the other hand, was the thoughtless rebel and the thoughtless slave, in both cases a boor, ranging from the humiliated and idealised man in his commonplace to the hooligan types of Yesenin. Yesenin said this about himself: "I am a hooligan in my songs!" In the voice of his own Muse, he heard the "tavern guitar". — Dmytro Dontsov @FaithAndBlood

That image is of a mighty champion of the Right-Wing — and it is simply not true. Smith is not even a Right-Winger. He is a man of the Centre and, if anything, a shade left of Centre. His political antecedents are liberal. His present attitude, as shown by his acceptance of an unimpeded advance to African rule, is liberal. His view of the future, a fully integrated Rhodesian nation in 20 years, is liberal. Whatever doubts and misgivings he may have about the hand-over, within a measurable period of years, they are for all practical purposes obliterated by his overwhelming sense of inevitability"." - AK Chesterton on Rhodesian PM Ian Smith

"As a man, he is forceful and transparently honest: as a politician he is, what all politicians under pressure seem to become, an expediency-merchant, equivocal and apt to bend political principle to what may seem to be the advantage of the moment. This characteristic is the more marked in that lan Smith, to what extent consciously one does not know, has allowed a totally false image to emerge from the tremendous legend built around him.

Never Forget - 13.05.1990 24 years ago today, a football match between Dinamo Zagreb and Red Star Belgrade took place. During the march, Serbs started shouting communist and anti-Croatian slogans, which angered Croatian fans. Zvonimir Boban, the player of Dinamo Zagreb, kicked a Serbian policeman, which eventually turned into a mass confrontation between the fans. As a result, the Croats overthrew the entire tribune of the communist Serbs and chased them away. This day marked the beginning of the Croatian national liberation struggle and the collapse of Yugoslavia. NO MERCY TO THE COMMUNISTS! Join: @far_right14

''Trenchocracy is the aristocracy of the trenches. It is the aristocracy of tomorrow! It is the aristocracy in action. It comes from the depths. Its "quarterings of nobility" are a splendid blood red. On its coat of arms one may depict a Friesian horse, a trench pit and a hand grenade. The disabled veterans today are the vanguard of the great army that will return tomorrow. They are the thousands who await millions of demobilized soldiers. This enormous mass—conscious of what it has achieved—is bound to cause shifts in the equilibrium of society. The brutal and bloody apprenticeship of the trenches will mean something. It will mean more courage, more faith, more tenacity.'' —Benito Mussolini @FaithAndBlood
