AccuWeather Sep 3, 2026 @ 2:42 PM EDT Although California is not at risk of any tropical activity brewing from the Pacific, Marie could bring moisture and heavy rain to the state as well as rough surf and rip currents to its beaches. https://x.com/accuweather/status/2095583114173001758

AccuWeather Sep 3, 2026 @ 11:08 AM EDT A Toronto resident took matters into his own hands, clearing clogged drains as flooding rain overwhelmed streets across the city on Wednesday. 🌧👏 https://x.com/accuweather/status/2095529468643418590

AccuWeather Sep 2, 2026 @ 11:53 PM EDT For better, for worse... and through waist-deep floodwaters. 💍🌊. Determined to say “I do,” a couple in Hagonoy, Bulacan, Philippines, refused to let heavy monsoon rains and severe flooding derail their wedding plans. They waded through waist-deep water at St. John the Baptist Parish for a shortened ceremony attended by fewer than 15 guests. https://x.com/accuweather/status/2095359596156400096

Ryan Hall, Y’all Sep 2, 2026 @ 2 PM EDT Your first freeze is closer than you think. Fargo usually sees it by the end of this month. Denver and Minneapolis by the middle of October. Chicago and Kansas City by late October. Nashville and St. Louis the first days of November. Atlanta, Dallas, and New York wait until right around Thanksgiving. Houston not until December. One year in ten, Fargo has already frozen by September 18. That is about two weeks from now. Find your city on the map. Then go check on your tomatoes. https://x.com/ryanhallyall/status/2095210177750257914

AccuWeather Sep 1, 2026 @ 9:27 AM EDT Strengthening Tropical Storm Edouard is tracking toward Texas with heavy rain, gusty winds and the risk of flooding and tornadoes. https://www.accuweather.com/en/hurricane/tropical-storm-edouard-to-make-landfall-near-texas-louisiana-border-with-flooding-rain-and-gusty-winds/1928361 https://x.com/accuweather/status/2094779165149159905

Ryan Hall, Y’all Sep 1, 2026 @ 10:16 AM EDT The Pacific has turned into a storm factory. THREE storms are spinning out there right now, lined up like they’re on a conveyor belt. Karina is a Category 4. And Marie just formed at the end of the line, becoming the 13th named storm of the year. We normally don’t get to #13 until October. I guess this is what a “super El Niño” looks like. https://x.com/ryanhallyall/status/2094791494854987858

Ryan Hall, Y’all Aug 29, 2026 @ 8:22 AM EDT The Pacific has never been this hot in August. Not in 1997, heading into the El Niño winter everybody still talks about. Not in 2015, before the only other one that comes close. Right now it's hotter than both. If you're over 30 you remember at least one of these. The January '98 ice storm. The Florida tornado outbreak that killed 42. A year of rain in a month in California. 30 inches of snow from Jonas. 72 degrees in New York on Christmas Eve. And the flip side: DC got a tenth of an inch of snow all winter in 1997-98. The good news about a Pacific like this is we see it coming months out, not hours. We'll be tracking it every week between now and winter. https://x.com/ryanhallyall/status/2093675663790141600
