💡 For Knowledge: 👉Did you know that Wi-Fi could be affected by plants? 🌳🌴 👉 Plants absorb water, which can also absorb the radio waves Wi-Fi uses to connect devices. This means a room full of plants might have a weaker Wi-Fi signal. 👉 Not just any plant will do this, though. Larger leaves and more water content mean more absorption. 😀So, if your Wi-Fi is weak, it might be time to rethink that indoor jungle! 🌱🍀 Stay curious and keep learning! 😍💜 #TechNature #WiFiGarden @techs 🔌 | @MinistryOfTech 🔌

💡Tech Insight of the Day: 😀 Ever wondered about the invisible shield of Wi-Fi that connects us to the world? 🌐 👉 Wi-Fi works using radio waves. Devices like routers transmit information via radio frequencies to devices like your smartphone or laptop. 👉 The most common Wi-Fi frequencies are 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The 2.4 GHz band is great for longer ranges but slower speeds, while 5 GHz offers faster speeds at a shorter range. 👉 Your device has a Wi-Fi card that translates these radio waves into binary code—the language of computers. This is how you receive emails, stream videos, and more! 👉 Interference can be a challenge, though. Other devices, walls, and even microwaves can disrupt your signal. That's why the placement of your router is key for optimal connectivity. Happy Learning 😄💜 #WiFi #DailyTech @techs 🔌 | @MinistryOfTech 🔌

📱 iOS 18 could finally overhaul some of the iPhone's most used apps 👉iOS 18 may introduce some notable upgrades across Apple’s Notes, Mail, Photos, Fitness, and Calculator apps. While the Bloomberg report sharing this rumor doesn’t mention the specifics of these upgrades, we expect these apps to offer more features and refreshed designs. 👉Apple doesn’t update its primary iPhone applications through the App Store at all. Instead, it restricts their new offerings, bug fixes, and other changes to iOS updates. Typically, with every major OS release, the Cupertino firm overhauls a few of its apps — and the case with iOS 18 should be the same. 👉A previous rumor claims that Apple plans to add more advanced features to its Calculator app and bring it to iPadOS 18. It also mentions that the company will integrate it into the Notes app with these upcoming OS releases. This gives us a glimpse of what the Notes and Calculator app overhauls in iOS 18 could be about. 👉Otherwise, the Home Screen on iOS 18 is expected to receive a welcome facelift. This would allow iPhone users to place app icons anywhere on the grid for the first time. Apple could also be switching to modular in-app design elements to simplify updating their UIs in the future. Nevertheless, a complete system redesign is unlikely to happen this year. 👉iOS 18 is expected to be one of the most significant software updates in the iPhone’s history. Apple will preview it, along with iPadOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11, during WWDC24 on June 10. Interested users should also be able to install the first developer betas of these operating systems on that day. @techs 🔌 | @MinistryOfTech 🔌

📱🧠Apple reportedly restarts negotiations with OpenAI for powering its AI features. 👉 Apple is likely to roll out its AI-powered features with iOS 18. The company expected to unveil more details on these features during its WWDC in June. Before the conference, the company has restarted negotiations with OpenAI for powering its AI features.
👉According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple has restarted talks with OpenAI around a chatbot/search component. In addition to this, the company is also negotiating with Google to license its Gemini chatbot for iOS 18. As per the report, the talks are still ongoing and the company has not made any final decision. It could go either way and the company might end up licensing AI tech from both companies or none of them.
👉Apple’s rivals such as Google and Microsoft have already started the AI race and they are going ahead strongly. The iPhone maker is still quiet about its AI efforts. However, the company’s CEO in a February earnings call announced they are continuing to work and invest in artificial intelligence and will share more details later this year. The company recently released four new AI models that can even run on phones and laptops.

💡 For Knowledge: 👉 Do you know how fingerprint sensors work? 😀 👉There are three main types: optical, capacitive, and ultrasonic. 👉 Optical scanners use light and a microchip to create a digital key from the unique patterns of a fingerprint. They're accurate and simple but can be fooled with fake prints. 👉 Capacitive scanners, popularized by smartphones, use electrical charge differences caused by the finger's ridges and valleys to form an image. They're compact and less prone to spoofing but sensitive to skin conditions. 👉 Ultrasonic scanners are the latest, using sound waves to map fingerprints in 3D, offering high accuracy and spoof resistance. 🇨🇳Beijing Xinzhida Neurotechnology has introduced Neucyber, a BCI implant that rivals Neuralink, tested on monkeys for robotic arm control. 👉 While not yet trialed on humans, it represents China's advancement in BCI tech amid global debates over privacy and ethics in the industry. 🧠BCI, or Brain-Computer Interface, is a technology that allows a person’s brain to directly control devices, such as computers or robotic arms, using only their thoughts. It captures brain signals and translates them into commands for the device, enabling communication without physical movement. #technology #china #Neurotechnology @techs | @MinistryOfTech

Pittsburgh International Airport has introduced facial recognition technology to enhance security and passenger safety. 👉This new system adds an extra layer of security by matching passengers' faces with their IDs and checking for security features on the ID media. 👉Capable of recognizing over 2,500 types of ID, it can quickly identify fraudulent or expired documents. ⚠️If an issue is detected, the situation is resolved in various ways, including potentially sending the passenger back to the ticket counter. According to TSA Federal Security Director Karen Keys-Turner, the process takes about five seconds and should not increase overall passenger processing time. #AI #facialRecognition @techs | @MinistryOfTech
