🍎🧠 Apple released OpenELM artificial intelligence; Running without the need for a cloud server! 👉Apple today released several open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) that are designed to run locally on the device and are not dependent on cloud servers. Called OpenELM (Open Source Efficient Language Models), these LLMs are available on the Hugging Face Hub, a community for sharing AI code. 👉According to Apple, there are a total of eight OpenELMs, four of which are pre-trained using the CoreNet library and the other four are trained with instructions. Apple has used a layered scaling strategy that aims to improve accuracy and efficiency. 👉 Instead of final trained models, Apple has provided code, training reports, and multiple versions. The researchers hope that the project will lead to faster progress and "more reliable results" in the field of artificial intelligence. 👉Apple also says its new AI includes a complete framework for training and evaluating large language models on publicly available datasets; including training reports and things like that. 👉The company says it is releasing OpenELM to "enable and enrich the open-source research community" with advanced language models. Sharing open-source models gives researchers a way to examine risks and data and model biases.
