If you think the control of the future lies in the hands of humans, you are deadly wrong. The technological-system will reach a point where everything will have become so automated that human beings will become a useless burden on the system. Humans will be superflous and obselete, and the self-propagating systems will find no advantage in looking after humans. Ask yourself. What will happen when police forces and the military will largely consist of robotics? Robotics unable to experience human emotions will not hesitate in shooting down large groups of protesters if given the order. This is from Kaczynski's essay "The coming revolution". We need to have hope that the new values will continue to spread, while the old values praising technology will decline and be replaced by the new ideals. It's already happening in the US with the spreading of all the data centers people are slowly becoming more "anti tech" however right now there is a danger that the leftists will distract their attention from technology to capitalism. This shouldn't be allowed to happen! Technology and only technology is the problem, not merely an economic system that wouldn't existed in the first place without modern technology.

5. Exaltation of freedom. Of all the things of which modern civilization deprives us, freedom and intimacy with nature are the most precious. In fact, ever since the human race submitted to the servitude of civilization, freedom has been the most frequent and most insistent demand of rebels and revolutionaries throughout the ages. 6. Punishment of those responsible for the present situation. The scientists, engineers, corporation executives, politicians, and so forth who consciously and intentionally promote technological progress and economic growth are criminals of the worst kind. They are worse than Stalin or Hitler, who never even dreamed of anything approaching what today’s technophiles are doing. Therefore justice and punishment will be demanded.

2. Rejection of civilization itself. This too is logical, because the present technological civilization is only the most recent stage of the ongoing process of civilization, and earlier civilizations already contained the seed of the evils that today are becoming so great and so dangerous. 3. Rejection of materialism, and its replacement with a conception of life that values moderation and self-sufficiency while deprecating the acquisition of property or of status. The rejection of materialism is a necessary part of the rejection of technological civilization, because only technological civilization can provide the material goods to which modern man is addicted. 4. Love and reverence toward nature, or even worship of nature. Nature is the opposite of technological civilization, which threatens death to nature. It is therefore logical to set up nature as a positive value in opposition to the negative value of technology. Moreover, reverence toward or adoration of nature may fill the spiritual vacuum of modern society.

This movement is still formless and has hardly begun to jell; the new values are still vague and poorly defined. But as technology advances along it's mad and destructive path,and as the damage it does becomes ever more obvious and disturbing, it is to be expected that the movement will grow and acquire firmness, and will reinforce it's values,making them more precise. These values, to judge by present appearances and also by what such values logically ought to be, will probably take a form somewhat like the following: 1. Rejection of all modern technology. This is logically necessary, because modern technology is a whole in which all parts are interconnected; you can’t get rid of the bad parts without also giving up those parts that seem good. Like a complex living organism, the technological system either lives or dies; it can’t remain half alive and half dead for any length of time.

The spontaneous insurrection in St. Petersburg in February 1917 took all of Russia by surprise. As it happened, there was already in existence a strong revolutionary movement that was in a position to provide leadership, and the revolutionaries moreover had for a long time been educating (or indoctrinating) the workers of St. Petersburg so that when the latter revolted they were not merely expressing senseless anger, but were acting purposefully and more or less intelligently."

Today, three years ago, Theodore John Kaczynski sadly passed away at the age of 81 in his cell. He may be gone, but it is up to us to build the anti-tech movement. Despite his actions, his writings remain to be some of the only works that give a serious answer to the problem of industrial technology. For that, he must be remembered. There is still much to be done, technology continues to enroach over our green earth, wrecking ecosystems and enslaving humanity. We must have faith. We are only in the early stages. The larger and more globally interconnected the system grows, the more brittle it becomes. The longer the system continues to expand, the more disastrous and catastrophic its eventual collapse will be. Therefore, a collapse happening sooner with the help of a revolution rather than later would result in a "lesser disaster" that leaves enough of the natural world intact for human survival.
