| 16 | So much of what happens for us depends on the mental state of our white normals, and how much they are actually capable of 'noticing' and reacting. We must all understand that certain obvious things and states of mind simply don't exist for them. I often judge where they are at by examining the 'knick knack' counters in hipster coffee shops. The slogans on the stickers and mugs and fridge magnets for sale, for instance. They remain firmly liberal of course, though they do allow themselves some 'local folkish pride'. You don't see any pro open borders statements, so that's something at least, although you will see tons of pro gay stuff. They will have palestine watermelons f course (also good overall). They seem more open than before to at least recognize and discuss certain dicey topics, but I've yet to determine in normal smalltalk where the 'line of unacceptability' gets drawn where one might accidentally send them into a frenzy. Again it would be handy if there were a monthly publication that updated 'acceptable' normal-tier speech and topics, maybe I should produce one | 801 |
