| 6 | There is an historical ancient Greek story about a similar thing, called "The Milesian Maidens". In Miletus, a young woman committed suicide by hanging and received enormous attention for it. Soon after, inspired by the fame and attention, several more girls committed suicide, and it became such a big phenomenon that it started to resemble an epidemic. The leaders of Miletus convened, and decreed that if any girl committed suicide again, her body would be dragged naked through the street by the noose they had used. The suicides stopped immediately.
