A simple Viking-esque patterned baby blanket I made a while back. ⚔️💞

The Revsund Strip is the oldest surviving Scandinavian textile, dating to 780-980AD, making it older than the Överhogdal Tapestry. Made of a mix of wool and linen, adorned with several swastikas, looped squares, and two rider figures, possibly the Divine Twins.

The auction will officially begin on November 22nd. Here's how it will be organized- we will be setting up an exclusive group chat using the super group feature. Each topic will be a bundle or item available for bidding. People can either bid directly in the chat or via email. The highest bidders will be the winners. Bidding will be open for one week. After all transactions are complete, the chat will be deleted. Additional rules are details will be available in the chat, which we will have open and available to join on the 22nd. “Women's costume in Northern Europe in the 10th century. Its geographical distribution based on the discoveries of fibulae hung at shoulder height.” A fibula is a brooch or pin for fastening garments, typically at the right shoulder. The fibula developed in a variety of shapes, but all were based on the safety-pin principle. In northern Germanic cultures, oval/turtle brooches were used as markers of the female gender, they also functioned as markers, more broadly, of Viking culture.

Standing Algiz rune. One side is adorned with gold foil and masculine runes. The other in silver foil and feminine runes. Additional details such as the snakes and the wave pattern border at the base are inspired by the Gotland stones. The Algiz is often used to invoke protection and defense.
