| 19 | "We rise by raising others."
In my six years of teaching experience back in Tashkent, I discovered a simple way to solidify my knowledge. As you might expect from the title of this mini-article, that way is teaching.
In fact, at the beginning of my teaching career, my personal IELTS score was 7.0. However, as time passed, the more I taught, the higher my score became, eventually reaching 8.0βjust 0.5 points shy of 8.5. Additionally, my perspective broadened; I started to learn more, and most importantly, I retained the knowledge I gained. My understanding of grammar and lexicology improved significantly. One reason for this could be that students ask many questions, and if you don't have the answers, it can be quite embarrassing. How can a teacher not know the answer?
All in all, to make a long story short, if you want to learn anything better, follow this structure: "Watch one, do one, and teach one."
