Alright, I know I promised the info last week, but I didn't meet with the friend until yesterday about the fund. Personally, I am surprised with how massively interested you are in this thing. As he explained, regulations to satisfy US are much more time consuming, and not according to the fund criteria, as they limit the leverage that can be used, which doesn't work with some of the traders in the fund. He (my friend, the top trader) will be in charge of the big part of crypto portfolio, the rest will be divided among two other crypto traders). The non crypto part will be forex around 20%, metals, and special offshore opportunities. He explained those as having good connections in smaller countries around the world, and seeking basically what the big funds are seeking in big countries, aiming to do great deals in safer instruments like real estate, etc to avoid cash sitting idle when hedging or expecting bad times in the market. The time of the launch I don't know, but it is probably by September. The KYC is mandatory. As it is a fully regulated fund. As I said, this is the first fund that can both take your funds in crypto and return it to you in crypto. The minimum investment is $100k and maximum $10mm to not get any individual investor able to cause big liquidity demands and fluctuations on their total $100 million AUM cap. The trading will be divided in epochs, guaranteeing you at least one per year. It means, like we trade and we have bearish cycle (now) for example, and after that follows bullish cycle... it's usually retarded to take stuff out in the mid of a cycle, requires selling etc, that's why, although you can at any time request your funds, it comes at a liquidation fee (tbd by the fund management) unless it is at the end of each epoch. It can be after 3 months, 8 months, but it is guaranteed it will be at least one a year, if not, they will manually create a free withdrawal event for the investors. You don't have to withdraw then, it is just one of the times when withdrawal is easy for the fund, and thus free for you. The reason I promote is because this trader I'll always promote. As long as he is in the fund, I like it. The other thing, which I fully like is the full employment of the capital. The problem with 200 billion+ funds is they for small guys like us, are not efficient. You think some big fund can participate in smaller cap crypto? Heck, most of them can't participate in crypto at all, except maybe slow buy and slow sell of bitcoin! Limiting the total to 100 million and having a strategy of employing full capital (although diversified), makes me happy as it can use full potential this way. Finally, why I like it, is because this way they don't compete with the "Big Boys". You can't have better connections than top 3 funds have, they are rooted deep into politics and foundations of the nations. But you can focus on smaller areas they due to their mere size, must avoid. I like this. I don't guarantee for it, as I couldn't do it for my own stuff, let alone someone else trading, but this trader is I'd say the best trader I know of that never traded for others or shared his signals publicly or anything. He got his capital and traded that and lately as I understand for couple participating investors. Since this is a crypto fund, first of a king, with such skilled setup, I think $100mm will get eaten in no time.
