You can apply (here). 1- What is an activity fair? It is an opportunity to showcase your activities, discuss the issues troubling your community, and present creative and impactful solutions! 2- How will the WHRD-23 regional activity fairs be carried out? The activity fair will be online, where all people from all NMOs can join in to learn more about your impactful activities and cheer for you! However, in this activity fair, your activities will be scored and ranked at the level of your region, meaning that there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from each region! 3- Who can join the activity fairs? Anyone can showcase their activities there as long as they are enrolled at the time of submission, and reported before the activity fair is carried out! 4- What is the process going to be like? After enrolling your activity and submitting through the form before the deadline, shortlisted applicants will be notified. Afterwards, they will be given a period to test run the platform on which the fair will take place to allow for comfort and ease of use. Then we will hold the fair! The estimated date will be on the 30th of December, however that's liable to change to ensure that the date suits all the shortlisted applicants. 5- How will the activities be scored? The activities will be scored based on the project management details (goals, objectives, indicators, etc), the use of effective monitoring and evaluation strategies, the implementation of a Human-rights based approach, collaborations, the impact made, creativity, alignment with international and regional themes for WHRD-23, and more! Don’t worry, all activities will be appreciated! 6- I need help with project management and Human right-based approach implementation in my activities, what can I do? We will be covering the implementation of a HRBA and project management skills in our webinar series so be sure to attend them. We will also be releasing an advocacy kit with tips and strategies to help you out. The  SCOPH and SCOPE ITs have been working tirelessly on this since 2019 and have established the foundation for a sustainable conduction of PHEx. PHEx serves as an opportunity for NMOs to empower and contribute to their national public health. However, the number of NMOs participating remains small. Thus, we all have work to do….  As a new task to fulfill, all the NEOs/NPOs, LEOs and LPOs need objective and clear guidelines that align with the SCOPE Regulations. Therefore, I am happy to announce the Call for PHEx Small Working Group members! The main goal of this small working group is to create a PHEx Manual, look into potential Regulation Change Proposals (RCPs) regarding PHEx and to organize a Campaign regarding PHEx. In order to achieve this we need between 5 to 7 motivated and full of ideas IFMSA members who will: 1 Revise and assist in compiling all the resources available for PHEx. 2 Assist in analyzing PHEx as it has been conducted so far. 3 Brainstorm ideas on the structure and function as well as drafting of the PHEx Manual. 4 Help in organizing a PHEx Campaign 5 Will help and have fun at the same time! Background on EMRM: The Eastern Mediterranean Meeting is an annual event where all EMR members unite under one roof to meet and discuss the management & development of the region, gain knowledge & build their capacities through multiple sessions conducted under each standing committee, exchange ideas and best practices, showcase their culture and activities conducted on national and local levels, and make decisions for the future of our region. This year will mark the 20th EMRM and is held under the theme of Transforming Digital Health in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. Who can be an observer in EMR20? 1. Any medical student not represented by an NMO. 2. Members from suspended NMOs. 3. Members from possible new members of the region. 4. Dear Members and SCOPHeroes around the world, I hope this email finds you safe, and in good health, both mentally and physically.  It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we are Opening the Calls for Members of the SCOPH MHE (Mental Health Essentials Workshop) Reform SWG! This Small Working Group is initiated to analyse the current MHE Workshop, and reform it to an updated, competency-based module.  What is MHE? The MHE (Mental Health Essentials) workshop is a SCOPH workshop equipping medical students with the relevant skills to deal with Mental Health, and it considers social factors of mental health, discusses its types, determinants, Stress Management, Suicide, PFA, Skills for Psychological Recovery and more. Aims of the SWG: There is a need to reform MHE to a competency-based module, update the Goals and Objectives, the agenda, diversify the sessions and include newer updates to MH and a broader Public Health perspective. This SWG aims to analyze the current status of the workshop in detail, and develop a new competency-based format and agenda reflecting the required skills of Medical Students and Public Health advocates. For more details on the SWG, refer here.  Information about the SWG: The SWG will consist of 4-6 members, working during the month of January 2024. The selection of members will be based on motivation, experience in SCOPH CB and Mental Health, and ideas for the outcome of the SWG.
