WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO FEEL WHEN THEY HEAR YOUR BRAND NAME?
Your product is not your brand.
And your price is definitely not your brand.
A product solves a problem.
A brand creates an emotional connection.
And people don't easily leave what they are emotionally connected to.
Let me give you an example.
Think about it…
If you're going on a 10-hour road trip, and you had to choose between two buses, which one would you enter?
One bus is known for discomfort, terrible customer service, random stops, and an experience that makes you question your life choices. 😂
Then there's another bus company known for comfort, peace of mind, good service, and a consistent experience.
Both buses will take you to your destination.
That's the product.
But one makes you say:
"Never again!"
And the other makes you say:
"That's my preferred company."
That's the brand.
The destination is the same.
Both companies are solving the same problem:
Transportation.
| 2 | YOU DON’T NEED TO HAVE A STORY TO TELL, YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SEE STORIES.
One of the biggest lies people tell themselves when they are learning public speaking is,
“I don’t have any stories to tell.”
No.
You have plenty of stories.
You just haven’t learned how to recognize them yet.
And here’s something that changed the way I think about storytelling,
Your story doesn’t always have to be YOUR story.
You can tell your father’s story.
You can tell your pastor’s story.
You can tell your friend’s story.
You can tell the story of someone you met.
You can even tell a story you heard from someone else, as long as you are honest about where the story came from.
Imagine you are speaking about sexual purity and abstinence.
You could say:
“Can I tell you a story?
My pastor once had a friend who had a roommate.
Whenever a lady came to visit that roommate, there was something they always did...
They would open the door. | 78 |
| 3 | IF THEY CAN’T PICTURE IT, THEY WON’T UNDERSTAND IT.
One of the biggest mistakes speakers make is thinking that communication is simply about making a point.
It isn't.
You can have the best idea in the room…
You can have the knowledge…
You can even have the right words…
And your audience can still be lost.
Why?
Because you told them the point, but you didn't give them the picture.
Imagine I tell you, Build a strong personal brand.
You probably understand the statement.
But what does it actually look like?
Now imagine I say,
“Imagine someone mentions your name in a room where you're not present.
Before anyone explains who you are, people already know what you do, the problem you solve, and the kind of result they can expect from you.
That is what it means to become known for something.”
Now you can picture it.
And that's the difference. | 74 |
| 4 | Your Customers Don't Care What Social Media Platform You Like.
"I don't like Facebook."
Okay.
But here's the problem...
Your customers don't owe you the same preference.
One of the biggest mistakes business owners make is building their marketing around what they enjoy instead of where their customers are.
You love TikTok?
Fantastic.
But what if the person ready to pay you ₦500,000 today only checks Facebook before trusting a business?
What if the company looking for a consultant searches LinkedIn first?
What if your ideal client discovers businesses through Instagram?
They won't send you a message asking,
"Excuse me, do you use Facebook? I'd like to buy from you there."
No.
They'll simply buy from the person they can find.
Read that again.
People can't do business with a business they can't find.
Your social media strategy shouldn't be driven by emotions.
It should be driven by customer behavior. | 176 |
| 5 | You Cannot Be Broke and Still Say You Don't Have Time.
"If you're broke, time is your greatest asset."
Many people complain that they don't have money.
At the same time, they complain that they don't have time.
But if you're not yet wealthy, your time is one of the most valuable things you own.
The people making the most money are often the ones with the least amount of free time.
That's why they hire people.
They pay someone to manage their social media.
They pay someone to reply to messages.
They pay someone to edit videos.
They pay someone to handle tasks they no longer have the time to do.
And that's where opportunity lives.
One of the easiest ways to start earning today is to become a Social Media Manager.
Your job is simple:
Help busy people stay visible online while they focus on growing their business.
In the beginning, you'll probably sell your time.
There's nothing wrong with that. | 170 |
| 6 | Stop Trying to Be the Best. Start Building the Best Team.
A young entrepreneur once told me,
"Nobody can do it as well as I can."
I smiled.
A few months later, he was exhausted.
He was answering every call.
Closing every deal.
Designing every project.
Following up with every client.
His business wasn't growing...
It was depending on him.
Now let me ask you a question.
Who do you think will make more money?
The person who is the best at the job...
Or the person who has ten competent people doing excellent work at the same time?
The answer is obvious.
Business is not just about excellence.
It's about multiplication.
One person can only move so fast.
A well-trained team can move at a speed no individual can ever match.
That's why the world's biggest companies don't hire one superstar.
They build systems.
They develop leaders.
They raise people. | 119 |
| 7 | Most People Don't Have a Money Problem. They Have a Selling Problem.
Read this carefully...
Every single day, you're on one side of a transaction
You're either selling
Or you're buying.
There is no middle ground.
The buyer gives money.
The seller receives money.
Now ask yourself a painful question:
Which side do you spend most of your life on?
If your life is only about paying bills, buying clothes, subscribing to data, ordering food, paying transport, and spending...
...without consistently receiving money from something you sell
Then you're slowly creating the very financial struggle you're praying against.
This is why many people believe that if someone just gives them ₦1 million, all their problems will disappear.
It won't.
In fact, that money might disappear faster than it came.
And when it's gone, the pain becomes even worse because you've tasted wealth without learning how to create it.
The truth is
The greatest gift anyone can give you isn't money.
It's the ability to generate money | 101 |
| 8 | The Most Visible Creative Often Earns More Than the Most Talented One.
A graphic designer once asked me,
"Sir, how do I get more clients?"
I visited his Instagram page.
His bio said "Professional Graphic Designer."
But after scrolling through his page for almost a minute...
I couldn't find a single design.
Just selfies.
Random posts.
Birthday pictures.
And memes.
I smiled and said,
"If I can't find your work, how do you expect your next client to find you?"
Here's the truth...
Your bio doesn't convince people.
Your content does.
Instead of telling the world you're a graphic designer, show them.
Every flyer.
Every logo.
Every brand identity.
Every social media design.
With your client's permission, post your work consistently.
Because people don't hire what they can't see.
Then think about this...
Why do you think companies are hiring content creators in large numbers today?
It's simple.
Visibility. | 83 |
| 9 | Every Complaint You Hear Is a Business Opportunity in Disguise.
A few years ago, I changed the way I listened to people.
I stopped hearing complaints.
I started hearing business ideas.
When someone says,
"This thing is stressful."
Most people nod in agreement.
An entrepreneur starts taking notes.
Think about it.
Someone got tired of walking long distances...
Transportation businesses were born.
Someone got frustrated carrying cash...
Digital payment platforms emerged.
Someone was thirsty...
A bottle of water became a billion-naira industry.
The world doesn't reward people for identifying problems.
It rewards people for solving them.
That's why two people can stand in the same place and see the same challenge.
One says,
"Nigeria is too hard."
The other says,
"There must be a way to make this easier."
Years later, one is still complaining...
The other is employing people.
Your bank account is often a reflection of the value of the problems you're solving. | 77 |
| 10 | Before You Pay for Another Certificate, Read This Story.
A woman got a job in an organisation as a cleaner.
The interesting part?
She already had a Bachelor's degree.
Every morning, she watched other employees walk into their offices while she picked up the mop and bucket.
She convinced herself, "Maybe my problem is that I don't have enough certificates."*
So after work, she enrolled for a Master's degree.
Months turned into years.
She graduated.
Excited, she returned to the same organisation, believing her new qualification would finally change her position.
It didn't.
She was still cleaning the same floors.
Still wearing the same uniform.
Still doing the same job.
She refused to give up.
She said to herself, "Maybe a Master's isn't enough. Let me get a PhD."
She spent more years studying.
More sleepless nights.
More tuition.
Eventually, she became a doctor.
But when she resumed work...
She was still the one holding the mop. | 101 |
| 11 | Stop Making Every Client Interview You.
One of the biggest mistakes people make in business is waiting until a prospect sends a DM before they start proving they are good.
That is exhausting.
If every new client has to ask,
• "Can you really do this?"
• "Have you worked with anyone before?"
• "Do you have results?"
...then your brand is doing very little of the selling.
A strong brand speaks before you do.
Your content should answer questions before they are asked.
Your results should remove doubts before they arise.
Your consistency should build trust before the first conversation.
I don't spend my time telling people I'm a public speaker.
I show them.
My speeches are on Facebook.
My trainings are on YouTube.
My insights are on LinkedIn.
My clips are on Instagram, TikTok and X.
So when someone reaches out, they are not asking if I can speak.
They've already seen the evidence.
That's why they come ready to discuss the opportunity not to investigate my competence. | 126 |
| 12 | A Certificate Can Open the Door, But It Can't Keep You Inside.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is believing that once they have a certificate, success is guaranteed.
It isn't.
A certificate is simply an invitation.
Your value determines whether you'll be invited back.
Think about it.
Two people can graduate from the same school, with the same degree, in the same year.
A few years later, one is leading teams, attracting opportunities, and earning multiple streams of income.
The other is still asking, "Who knows where they're hiring?"
What's the difference?
Value.
The marketplace doesn't reward what you studied.
It rewards the problems you can solve.
Your employer won't keep paying you because you graduated with a First Class.
Your clients won't keep paying you because people call you "Engineer," "Doctor," or "Barrister."
They'll keep paying you because every time they trust you with a problem, you deliver a result. | 140 |
| 13 | Your Biggest Marketing Problem Is That You Have No Proof.
Every day, I see people posting,
"I'm the best."
"I'm an expert."
"I'm the number one."
But here's the uncomfortable truth...
The internet doesn't reward what you say. It rewards what you can prove.
Think about it.
If two people offered the same service, who would you choose?
The one who keeps talking about how good they are...
Or the one who quietly shows testimonials, client results, videos of their work, before-and-after transformations, and success stories?
The answer is obvious.
Proof beats promises, Every single time.
Your audience is tired of motivational captions.
They want evidence.
Don't just tell me you're a great speaker.
Show me a room that stood up to applaud you.
Don't tell me you're a great designer.
Show me designs that made brands stand out.
Don't tell me your business works.
Show me the lives it has changed. | 112 |

| 16 | Stop Looking for Business Ideas.
Go to the comment section.
Most people scroll through comments for entertainment.
Smart entrepreneurs scroll through comments for opportunities.
Every complaint is market research that someone else paid for.
Read the comments under a popular app, product, or service and you'll discover things like:
"This app is too complicated."
"Customer service is terrible."
"It takes too long to deliver."
"I wish it had this feature."
Those are not just complaints.
They are business ideas.
The biggest mistake aspiring entrepreneurs make is trying to invent something the world has never seen.
That's rarely how great businesses are built.
The smartest founders don't always create a new market.
They improve an existing one.
They study what customers are already paying for, identify the frustrations, then build a better solution.
If thousands of people are complaining about the same problem, congratulations...
You've just found a validated business opportunity. | 129 |
| 17 | STOP THINKING COCA-COLA BECAME A BILLION-DOLLAR BRAND BECAUSE OF BILLBOARDS ALONE.
Most people believe Coca-Cola became successful because they spend billions on TV ads, billboards, and sponsorships.
That's only part of the story.
The real magic happens when ordinary people start advertising the brand for free.
Think about it...
Someone says, "I'm thirsty. Let's get a Coke."
Another person recommends it at a party.
A shop owner tells a customer, "This one is very cold."
A friend buys one and hands it to you.
None of these people work for Coca-Cola.
Yet they are all marketers.
That's called Word-of-Mouth Marketing, the most trusted form of marketing in the world.
The smartest brands don't just create advertisements.
They create experiences and conversations that people can't stop talking about.
As a business owner, ask yourself:
• Are people talking about your product when you're not in the room?
• Are your customers becoming your marketers?
• Have you given them a reason to recommend you? | 111 |
| 18 | A moving man will meet his luck, because God directs the steps of those who are willing to move.

| 19 | Most Nigerians Fear Problems, Entrepreneurs Profit From Them.
I asked a room full of aspiring entrepreneurs one simple question:
"How many of you love problems?"
Silence.
Some people laughed.
Some looked at me like I had lost my mind.
Others were probably wondering why anyone would willingly love problems.
Then I realized something...
Many of us have been conditioned to see every problem as a curse.
The moment something goes wrong, we blame the economy, our village, our enemies, or our circumstances.
But entrepreneurs see the world differently.
Where others see frustration, they see opportunity.
Where others see inconvenience, they see innovation.
Where others see complaints, they see customers waiting for a solution.
Think about it.
Traffic became a business opportunity for ride-booking apps.
Long queues in banks created opportunities for fintech companies. | 141 |
| 20 | If You're Posting Only for Likes, You're Already Losing.
One of the biggest mistakes content creators make is believing that likes equal income.
They don't.
The first step to earning from what you know is simple:
Fall in love with sharing.
Share your knowledge.
Share your experiences.
Share your lessons.
Share your solutions.
That's what we call CONTENT.
The more valuable content you share, the more lives you impact.
And the more lives you impact, the more opportunities you attract.
I post every single day.
Some days, a post gets thousands of views or reactions.
Other days, it barely gets noticed.
Guess what?
I still show up the next day.
Because I understand something many people don't...
Likes don't pay, VALUE does.
If your reason for coming to Facebook is because it's monetizing creators, then you're aiming too low.
Facebook monetization is good.
YouTube monetization is good.
But they should never be your primary goal. | 141 |
