There is a special place in hell for drivers who don’t use deodorants and don’t take showers.

🇺🇿 is not just a number.
It is a milestone. It’s a critical threshold.
As someone who is the same age as Independence, I can personally relate to this age in a profound way. Perhaps it might seem irrelevant to draw parallels between a country's journey as a sovereign nation and a life of a single human being. But I feel the paths we are treading do, in fact, overlap.
When I was a kid, we used to recite poems extolling patriotism without fully realizing the depth of what we were saying. Back then, it sounded hackneyed and insincere. Now as I mature, the love for the country is felt differently. 🇺🇿 It’s no longer perfunctory. It genuinely moves me and brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to the songs “Ulug’imsan, Vatanim” by Sevara Nazarkhan or “Ey, Aziz Yurtim” by Rashid Khalikov. Because to me, they are not simply songs that glorify the land obsequiously - they are the soundtracks of my innocence. They are timelines that chronicle the evolution that I, hand in hand with my country, have undergone.
It's surreal to realize that, unlike my younger self, I don’t want to “get the hell outta here” anymore. I want to stay and give back to the community that raised me and to the land that nurtured me. 🙏
Happy Independence Day, my Uzbekistan! ❤️

One of my students is conducting a research on inflation in Uzbekistan. Your contribution of completing this survey would be much appreciated.

In a recent conversation with one of my friends, she mentioned that she admired my confidence. To her, the grit and absoluteness with which I arrive to my decisions were awe-inspiring. Honestly, it surprised me at first. My whole conscious life I struggled with a lack of it. I was bullied, let some people walk all over me, and outright believed those who had anything bad to say about me. Confidence was something I desperately needed to stand up for myself and protect my boundaries. I admired people who seemed to have it in them: no fluff, no BS - pure energy oozing from their essence. It seemed to me that it was their inborn configuration. Little did I know that what I was observing was only the surface.
So, her remark took me on my own mental journey. If only she knew at what cost that firmness comes. Behind a brave composure lies a 47-page dissertation, meticulously written and edited by the harshest critic, with theories and facts being juxtaposed against each other from every possible angle. There is an internal courtroom where endless possibilities, doubts, and arguments are discussed, analyzed, and weighed against one another. Once they go through a stage of thorough processing, a final verdict is reached. There is so much that goes on internally, but so little of it is conspicuous to the outside eye.
Ultimately, I received her comment as a compliment. All the work I have put in throughout the years wasn't in vain, after all.

Those who stood and watched how you were drowning have no right to know what happened to you next.

Finally, this beauty is right where it belongs.
These are not merely objects - they are little pieces of memories my students leave behind from the time we spent together.
Now I have London right beside me every day! 🥰

You should realize you could so much better when you end up with someone with whom the conversations revolve around food instead of philosophy, literature, and self-development.
