If Stephen Covey wrote an Islamic version of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People...Take your time and read it with sabr. It’s truly worth it. 🙏 If Stephen Covey wrote an Islamic version inspired by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf, it might look something like this: 1. Begin with Tawheed Before becoming effective, become a sincere believer. Your greatest success is meeting Allah with Tawheed and sincerity. «وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ "And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me." (Surah Adh-Dhariyat 51:56)» The Muslim's ultimate "why" is worshipping Allah and seeking His pleasure. 2. Guard Your Salah Before Your Schedule Highly successful people guard their calendars. Highly successful Muslims guard their Salah. Your day should revolve around the five daily prayers. If your productivity causes you to miss your obligations to Allah, it is not productivity. It is loss. 3. Put the Akhirah First Islam teaches us: Put the Akhirah first. Ask yourself: Will this bring me closer to Allah? Will I regret this on the Day of Judgment? «وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ "While the Hereafter is better and more enduring." (Surah Al-A’la 87:17)» 4. Seek Beneficial Knowledge Imam al-Bukhari رحمه الله titled a chapter in his Sahih: «"Knowledge before speech and action."» Spend less time on social media and more time with the Qur'an. Learn your religion before trying to change the world. A Muslim who acts without knowledge can cause more harm than good. 5. Win with Others by Serving Them The modern world teaches you to build influence. Islam teaches you to serve. Help your parents. Teach your children. Serve your spouse. Benefit your community. «"The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people." (Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat lit-Tabarani 6026)» Real success is not climbing over others. It is helping others climb with you. 6. Surround Yourself with the Righteous You are shaped by those you sit with. «"A man is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends." (Jami` al-Tirmidhi 2378)» Choose those who remind you of Allah, encourage knowledge, and inspire you to become better. 7. Renew Your Heart Daily Islam teaches us to purify and renew the heart. «Qur'an • Dhikr • Salah • Du'aa • Repentance • Reflection • Good deeds» Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: «"There is a hardness in the heart that nothing melts except the remembrance of Allah." (al-Wabil al-Sayyib, p. 171)» The world teaches you to become highly effective. Islam teaches you to seek the pleasure of Allah. Build your career, pursue excellence, and strive for success, but never forget that the greatest success is to reach Jannah. «سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ طِبْتُمْ فَادْخُلُوهَا خَالِدِينَ "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein." (Surah al-Zumar 39:73)» That is the one goal worth spending an entire lifetime building your habits around.

Yesterday I was talking to a friend, and he told me he does almost four jobs (three full-time and one part-time). Yes, it’s all remote, and there’s Claude Max. But then I was asking myself how I am surviving with just a 20-hours-per-week job. Oh Thanks to Mom actually for letting me stay in the house 😅

@DoughNutDrops mentioned here that the process of getting into Toptal was hard, but Allah made it easy for him because he got married around that time and Allah put barakah in his life. So, I think I should get married before trying Toptal a second time 😁

First of all, Allah's mercy is that He wants all of us to enter Jannah. That's where the do's and don'ts come in, because, from any perspective, a good deed is what helps someone achieve good(both here and in the akhirah). Then, many of Allah's commands that prohibit us from doing certain things either cause a bad outcome by themselves or lead to another action that causes a bad outcome.
For example, you mentioned music, and its effect is that someone may become attached to it instead of Quran and may sometimes go to places where music is played, where there might also be alcoholic drinks, and then you know the outcome.
You mentioned hiding your beauty, which Allah does not prohibit except from people who don't have Islamic permission to see it. You can show it to your family, husband, and friends, but other men are themselves told to lower their gaze. Whom to show it then? if you say, "I want non-Muslim men to look at my beauty," that's a different matter.
Then the list goes on, and every haram thing in Islam is something that causes us to reach something bad. So, you said, "Don't say dunya is a place of test," but sorry, that's the very purpose of our presence here. Both haram and halal things are clear to us, either through the Quran or Sunnah, and the test for us is which one we will follow.
The other thing is that Islam never restricted us from enjoying the beauty and blessings of this life. Rather, it teaches us to enjoy them with shukr, reflection, and in a way that does not cause us to forget Allah or His commands. We are not asked to abandon the blessings of this dunya, but to enjoy them within the boundaries Allah has set for us, while remembering the One who gave them to us.
And finally, let's not make everything subjective based on our own feelings or preferences, especially when Allah and his messenger(SAW) have already given us clear guidance. We should be careful not to judge Allah's commands solely by what we personally perceive as good or bad. Allah knows what we do not know, and His mercy is greater than we can comprehend.

جوهر المرء في خلال ثلاث: كتمان الفقر حتى يظنّ الناس من عفّتك أنّك غني، وكتمان الغضب حتى يظنّ الناس أنك راضٍ، وكتمان الشّدّة حتى يظن الناس أنك متنعم.
Imam al-Shafi'i said:
" The core of a person lies in three traits: hiding poverty so that people think you are rich out of your self-restraint, hiding anger so that people think you are content, and hiding hardship so that people think you are blessed ".
