Asking your future self to make decisions allows you to play the long game:
The problem is that we don’t play the long game. We don’t plan for the future. We think the future is a day, a week, a month, a year. We think the future is ten years.
The one-hundred-year-old version of yourself will tell you that a decade goes by in the blink of an eye. It’s nothing. Making decisions based solely on the next ten years is ludicrous when given the expanse of a lifetime.
We have to play the long game. Our future selves understand the value of time better than any of us.
We say we value time, then we binge-watch Netflix.
We say we value time, but then we sit in a Starbucks drive-through line for twenty-five minutes for a cup of coffee.
We say we value time, but then we play a video game on our phone for endless hours.
We say we value time, and then we promise ourselves that we’ll get to that dream someday.
We say we value time, but we toss aside minutes like they are disposable.
When we are facing the last seconds of our lives, minutes become precious. The key is to understand their preciousness today when there is still time to make those minutes matter.
All you need to do is to stop living for tomorrow or next week or next month or even next year, because a lifetime absent of regret is a lifetime of happiness.
I promise you there is not a person in the world who is lying on their deathbed, wishing they had watched a little more TV or played a few more video games or waited just a little while longer to make their dreams come true. But that is often what we do when we decide how we will spend our time: we trade momentary pleasure for long-term happiness.
Steve Jobs once said, “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.”
So make every decision count by looking ahead at the one-hundred-year-old version of yourself and asking that version of yourself for some wisdom and perspective. Stop making decisions for the current version of yourself, and ask your future self what they want from you.
Listen to your most trustworthy narrator.
If you do, I promise that you will be a happier person. You’ll be a more successful person. You’ll be the kind of person you have always wanted to be.

This law helps us see warning signs, future risks, and anything else that could stop us from being successful.
This law requires you to ask this most important question - "Why will this idea fail?"
This question will save you from losing money, wasted time and effort.
Most people don't ask it because it makes them uncomfortable.
But you'll find out the answer eventually, either now or painfully later.
Five mental biases stop us from asking "Why will this fail?":
1. Optimism Bias - We focus on good outcomes and ignore bad ones.
2. Confirmation Bias - We ignore information that goes against what we already believe.
3. Self-Serving Bias - We overestimate our own abilities and effort.
4. Sunk-Cost Fallacy - We stick with losing decisions because we've already invested in them.
5. Groupthink - We don't disagree with the group to avoid conflict.
Overcoming these mental biases allows us to make better and realistic decisions.

| 5 | It’s time to step everything up.
There’s absolutely no excuse for not being the best version of yourself. Elevate! Put your energy and time into what makes you happy.
There’s nothing more important than prioritizing your mind, body, and spirit. When you learn to love yourself, you’ll start to leave behind things that are unhealthy for you. That means people, beliefs, and habits—anything that keeps you small.
Get Better: Your time is precious. Don’t waste it on people who don’t see the value in you, and never wait for others to see your value in order to value yourself. Every moment of your life is a chance to get better, find your purpose, and connect with the source that empowers you. Don’t be distracted from it.
Know Your Worth: Don’t wait for others to validate you or agree with how you choose to live your life. That’s just a waste of time. Who cares, anyway? Just detach yourself. Take back your energy. It belongs to you!
Drama-Free: Don’t involve yourself in drama and negativity. There’s nothing that depletes your creativity more than meaningless bickering and useless conversations about others. So much is destroyed and lost when we use our energy in this manner. Let’s go past that stage. Let’s vibrate higher. Let’s use our energy to heal, not hurt .
Elevate Yourself: A lot of people are aimless in their purpose, have no real plans, and are too occupied to evolve. Don’t get sidetracked by these people. Own yourself and own your truth. Personal empowerment comes from standing up for what you believe in, even if you stand alone.
Be Determined: The more your vibration increases, the less you’ll want to do what you used to do.
You’ll no longer care what anyone thinks of you. You’ll suddenly find yourself craving life, living fully, loving deeply, and being so attentive to everything that fulfills you and makes you happy. | 309 |

Joy and love are all around us every day. We should try to create a life filled with joy and positivity.
If you are always afraid of suffering, you will never be able to fully live your life. You have to let go of that fear.
What matters most is how you choose to be, not what is happening around you. Your inner state should not be determined by external circumstances.
Before you commit your life to something, think carefully about whether it will truly matter to you in the long run. Don't do anything you will feel ashamed of later.
The goal should be to live a meaningful life, not just make a living. Think about whether your choices are helping you create the kind of life you want.
Your happiness and experience of life should come from within, not from comparing yourself to others or trying to impress them.
Stay sensitive and open to fully experiencing all aspects of life. Don't let your beliefs and conclusions limit your aliveness.
You are a product of this planet, just a temporary "pop-up" that will one day be gone.

People tend to form fixed ideas or perceptions about others, especially those they admire.
But the truth is that everyone is constantly changing and evolving.
Clinging too tightly to a fixed perception of someone causes problems, because that perception will inevitably become outdated as the person changes over time.
Photos and memories only capture the past, not the living, evolving present reality of a person.
Being open to change and growth in ourselves and others requires courage.
It's easier to cling to consistency and fixed ideas.
Those who get attached to their fixed ideas about an evolving, changing person eventually comes into conflict with that person's current reality.
