Warning: Potential Grading Scam Alert in Java Course
It has come to our attention that there may be a significant issue with the grading system in the Java course. There are reports indicating an unfair distribution of marks, which could severely impact students' CGPA. Here are some specific concerns:
Continuous Assessment (CA) Marks Discrepancy:
Students with higher CA marks are receiving lower overall weightage.
Example: A student with 23/30 and 26/30 in both CAs received a total of 28/50.
Conversely, students with lower CA marks, such as 22.8/30 and 23/30, are receiving higher total marks like 30/50.
End-Term Practical Examination Anomalies:
Students who successfully complete both coding questions are receiving lower marks.
Example: A student who attempted both coding questions got 28/45.
Meanwhile, students who only attempted one coding question are receiving higher marks, such as 34/45.
This discrepancy suggests that those who performed well on coding might not have been awarded any marks for MCQs or viva.
These inconsistencies suggest a potential scam or error in the grading system. Such irregularities can unjustly affect students' academic performance and overall CGPA.
Action Needed:
Immediate review and audit of the grading system.
Transparent disclosure of the marking criteria.
