Whether wise or foolish, educated or uneducated - in the end they all meet the same fate: they must die and will not be remembered forever, because 'that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten.' (Ecclesiastes 2:16 KJV) Some names of famous people can be found in the history books - but is their memory eternal? Only one name will be remembered forever: our one and only Saviour, the LORD Jesus Christ. πŸ™πŸ» Philippians 2:9-10 (KJV) ⁹Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Do you want to go to heaven when you die? Lordship salvation is a false doctrine, out forth by vipers that say you have to "make Jesus the Lord of your life," or "boss of your life," in order to be saved. That you have to "repent of your sins" and try to "avoid sin," or you cannot be saved. This is wicked as Hell. To be saved we must understand that we are sinners and incapable of justifying ourselves to God. This is only part of accepting salvation, and part of Biblical repentance that is taught in nearly all independent fundamentalist Baptist churches. It is a part of the truth we must believe to actually trust on Christ for our salvation. But the idea that our salvation rests in any way with our ability to turn from sin makes the person their own savior, robs the glory of God, and puts Christ to an open shame. People who are giving a false gospel that includes "turning from your sin" or making Jesus the "boss of your life," are false teachers and are bringing another gospel. Jesus is Lord, and God sits on His throne whether you believe or not. Whether you backslide or whether you go soul winning and Bible reading daily and attending church 3 times a week. The humility and humbling of ourselves comes from the recognition that we are sinners, deserving death and Hell. Our salvation is in accepting that Jesus died for us, and we are washed clean in the blood. Not in how well we strive to live a perfect sinless life.

Salvation is by grace and not of works. Romans 11:6 (KJV) ⁢And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Follow us @ShineForth1611
