So this just blew my mind… U.S. golf courses use about 531 billion gallons of water a year. All U.S. data centers use about 17–22 billion gallons on-site — roughly 25 times less. That matters because the “data centers will suck up all the water” talking point treats a real local issue as a national water crisis. Nationally, they are a small user compared to golf, lawns, and especially farms.
