I once chose the cheapest option on the screen. It expired three days later... The direction was right. The trade still lost ⛔️ An expiry date is not a small detail. It decides how long your idea has to work and how quickly time value disappears. Short-dated options cost less, but the clock moves fast. A small delay can hurt the position, even when $BTC later moves in the expected direction. Longer-dated options give the trade more time. That extra time carries a higher premium. Before choosing an expiry, ask: • When could the move happen? • How much time can pass before the thesis is wrong? • How sensitive is the option to time decay? • Is there enough liquidity to exit? The cheapest contract is often cheap for a reason. Choose the expiry that fits the trade idea, not the one that makes the entry price look attractive.

The trade looked brilliant right up until I calculated the worst-case loss. That number changed my mind 😱 Defined-risk options strategies place a clear ceiling on how much a position can lose. A call spread is one example: buy one call, then sell another call at a higher strike. The second option reduces the cost of the trade. It caps the profit too. That trade-off can feel frustrating when $BTC makes a huge move. Yet knowing the maximum loss before entry changes how you behave. You stop negotiating with the chart. You stop adding collateral to rescue a bad idea. You know the exact price of being wrong. Before opening a spread, write down: • maximum loss • maximum profit • break-even price • expiry date • exit level Defined risk does not make a weak trade good. It makes the consequences visible before emotions get involved!

🗞️ Weekly Crypto News | What Options Traders Should Watch 1⃣BTC tests $65K after softer U.S. CPI Cooler inflation pulled rate fears lower and pushed Bitcoin back toward the top of its local range. 2⃣Bitcoin ETFs snap an 8-week outflow streak Spot BTC ETFs posted $197.4M in weekly net inflows, a small but clean shift after heavy selling pressure. 3⃣BTC and ETH put skew stays bid Options traders are still paying for downside protection, with BTC one-week 25-delta skew near 16%. 4⃣Ether ETF demand keeps showing up Ether funds took in fresh inflows as ETH tries to build its own flow story, separate from Bitcoin. Stablecoin rules move back into focus 5⃣The Fed is working toward GENIUS Act stablecoin rules, keeping regulation close to volatility pricing. This is not a market for lazy direction calls. Flows, skew, macro data, and policy timing are doing the talking right now. Trade the probabilities. Respect the tails 📊

New video's up. This week's market, in short: - BTC pushed above 64K, eyeing 65K after a slow start - ETH still lagging behind BTC on the weekly - Hyperliquid's three peaks are losing momentum, Solana's stuck in the 80s with no real strength yet Also in the video: the Fear & Greed index, the liquidation heatmap, the 2 options trades Evinho opened this week (ETH + SOL), and how copy trading is doing for July. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oBxgp3U81k

“The chart looked calm. My option price did not.” ➡️That is put skew. In options, puts can become more expensive than calls when traders start paying for downside protection. For $BTC, that usually means one thing: The market is not just watching price, it is watching fear! A classical beginner mistake is: Seeing expensive puts and thinking “everyone knows price will fall.” The better read is: Puts are insurance. When many traders want insurance at the same time, the insurance gets expensive. Put skew does not predict the next candle, it tells you what risk traders are willing to pay for! 🔥

🗞️ Weekly Crypto News | What Options Traders Should Watch ETF flows test the BTC rebound Bitcoin spot ETFs snapped a 10-day outflow streak with fresh inflows, but recent redemptions still leave traders watching whether spot demand can hold. Downside puts stay expensive BTC and ETH options skew still shows a clear premium for puts, meaning hedging demand has cooled a bit but has not gone away. $2B BTC expiry resets positioning A large Bitcoin options expiry around the $61K max pain area put short-term gamma, liquidity, and post-expiry spot moves back on the desk. ETH weakens under macro pressure Ether is still fighting ETF outflows, higher yields, and a Fed-sensitive tape, keeping ETH volatility setups active. Stablecoin rules move into focus UK rule changes lowered proposed stablecoin capital requirements, a small but relevant shift for liquidity, regulation, and exchange-market structure. Trade the probabilities. Manage the risk 📊

Green week across the board 👇 • BTC: +5.6% • ETH: +9.8% • SOL: +7.1% • XRP: +7.4% • PAXG: +2.7% Outlook for this week: Markets enter the new week with buyers back in control, but resistance is now close. Expected volatility: • BTC: ~4.5% expected move • ETH: ~6.0% • SOL: ~8.0% Right now, $BTC holding above 61.8k and reclaiming 64k is the main signal for broader continuation. A possible strategy idea is a weekly Bull Call Spread above the 64k resistance zone. (no financial advice, dyor!) The bounce is real for now. The next test is whether buyers can defend the first pullback!

🗞️ Weekly Crypto News | What Options Traders Should Watch ⚡️BTC tests $60k support Bitcoin is sitting close to a level where spot selling, put exposure, and short-term hedging can start feeding into each other. ⚡️$10.6B BTC expiry today A large BTC options expiry can reset positioning fast, especially with so much open interest sitting out of the money. ⚡️ETF outflows pressure spot ETF redemptions keep adding weight to the spot market, so traders are watching flows as closely as price. ⚡️CME launches BTC vol futures Volatility is becoming its own trade on regulated venues, not just a side effect of being long or short BTC. ⚡️BoE softens stablecoin rules The UK’s softer stablecoin stance matters for market structure, liquidity rails, and how institutions read crypto regulation. Feels like one of those weeks where the obvious trade is probably too crowded. Trade the probabilities. Manage the risk!

I was right on direction and still lost money? That usually sounds impossible, until you meet IV crush. You buy a call before a big market move. Price goes up. Your option should win, right? Not always. Options are priced on more than direction. They also price expected movement. If traders expect chaos, implied volatility rises. That makes options more expensive. After the event passes, that fear can disappear fast. The option price may drop, even if $BTC moved your way. That is IV crush. The lesson is simple, but painful: ❌ Don’t buy options only because you expect price to move ✅ Ask what volatility is already priced in A good trade is not just “up or down.” It is direction, timing, volatility, and exit.

Market is getting hit from both sides: SpaceX/AI valuation FOMO is fading, while crypto technicals still look weak. - SpaceX: above $200 to around $150, waiting for below $100 - BTC: Around 61k, pressure toward 60k - ETH: 1600, mid 1500s possible - Trades: ETH 1750 call, SOL 75 call - Bigger thesis: the great rotation into crypto can come later, but not while everything is still risk-off https://x.com/BitopexIO/status/2069945821349507358

🔥 Most traders lose money in options for the same 3 reasons. Avoid these 👇 ❌ 1. Holding too close to expiry Time decay accelerates fast near expiration. ✅ Better alternative: Give your trade more time or take profits before theta starts working against you. ❌ 2. Ignoring volatility Buying options when IV is already high often means paying too much. ✅ Better alternative: Check volatility before entering and match your strategy to the market environment. ❌ 3. Trading naked options without a plan Unlimited risk and no clear exit is a dangerous combination. ✅ Better alternative: Use defined-risk strategies like call spreads, put spreads, or iron condors. 👉Options trading isn't about predicting every move. It's about managing risk better than everyone else.
