I also reccomend you guys to learn other languages like Java and definitely C++ or C since it gives you a feel of what real programming is. Python is easy because most of the stuff you have to do manually in other languages (like memory management) is already done automatically. However, by learning low level languages, you will be able to learn real programming. Also, Java and C++ etc would look good on your resume too.
