Iran’s IRGC Aerospace Force struck a US aircraft carrier and a destroyer with several ballistic missiles, Fars News reported, citing an IRGC statement.
“These two warships, after sustaining damage and fearing further attacks, were forced to flee the conflict zone,” the IRGC said.
The Guard said the two warships had been harassing Iranian vessels and participating in the maritime blockade.
“If hostile and aggressive actions continue, the US regime should expect crushing responses from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
