The Lianyungang - Yizheng pipeline has begun operations, with the newly opened Lianyungang- Huai’an section capable of transporting up to 18.5 million tons of crude oil annually. That means roughly 70,000 tons of crude can move every day toward Yizheng a major refining and distribution hub in eastern China. The 143.8-kilometer section is designed to strengthen supplies to refineries across Jiangsu and along the Yangtze River. More importantly, the project expands China’s “nationwide one-network” oil and gas infrastructure strategy. Built during the opening phase of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, it is the first 10-million-ton-level crude pipeline commissioned during the 2026-2030 period. China isn’t just securing energy.
