That tranquilizer definitely hadn’t kicked in yet. A leopard hit by a car on a highway in India's Karnataka, suddenly charged a Forest Department official during a rescue operation. Officials had already tranquilized the injured animal, but before it went into deep sedation, it lunged at one of the rescuers. The leopard was eventually secured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The man escaped with no major injuries and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
