What a joy it must have been to collect hundreds of these pictures and glue them in place in the album. The things kids usually collect these days are noticeably less heterosexual — not that these albums (there are numerous similar to the one pictured here) weren't fun and educational for all ages. I discovered a discrepancy. Same photo in both books, but in Kampf umʼs Dritte Reich (1933) the year is said to be 1923, whereas in Das Antlitz des Führers (1939) the year is implied to be 1919. As far as I know, 1923 is closer to the truth. They probably thought that there wasn't a suitable photo from 1919 and chose the earliest suitable photo — and a good one it is!
