Advice for the Husband and Wife The believer should have good character with his family, and speak gently with them. He shouldn’t be rude, harsh, or frown upon his family. He shouldn’t use bad speech, nor be bad company. He must perform usual duties towards his wife and give her the rights granted to women of her status such as in her clothing and so on. The wife should also fear Allah and use good words with her husband and be a good company. She should answer him if he invites her to his bed, obey him and listen to his commands which are not legally forbidden. She should have good manners with him, his parents and family. This is what a righteous woman is keen to do. If this is their interaction, then their relationship will be stable but if either of them fall short, then resentment will build up between them. We ask Allah to guide us all. Fatawa noor ala addarb (21/111) by Sheikh Ibn Baz

A Heartening Reminder for Every Sinner Stuck in the Cycle of Sin: Never Despair, for Allāh Rejoices at Your Repentance Shaykh Muḥammad Amān ibn ʿAlī al-Jāmī

One of the benefits of calamities is "softening of the heart," as it feels its need for its Lord to remove and avert the affliction. Thus, it turns to Him in humble supplication and seeks refuge in Him. Whoever does not feel his need for Allah and does not turn to Him in supplication during times of trial has a hardened heart. His arrogance is a result of the Shaitan's embellishment, and he is on the verge of being seized by Allah suddenly; then he will be destroyed, cut off from any hope of salvation.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "When Allah ﷻ drowned Fir'awn he said: 'I believe that there is no god except the One that the children of Isra'il believe in.' So Jibrail said: 'O Muhammad ﷺ! If you could only have seen me, while I was taking (the mud) from the sea, and filling his mouth out of fear that the (Allah's) mercy would reach Fir'awn.'" 📚 Tirmidhi 3107 (Hasan)

بكى سفيان الثوري ليلة إلى الصباح Sufyan al-Thawri wept the entire night until morning. فلما أصبح And when morning came, قيل له: كل هذا خوفا من الذنوب؟ It was said to him: “Is all this because of fear of sins?” He took a piece of earth and said: “Sins are less than this, but I weep out of fear of a bad ending.” And this is from the greatest understanding, that a man fears his sins will forsake him at the time of death, preventing him from a good ending.

al-Hasan al-Basri رحمه الله said: ‎« Iman does not come about by mere wishful thinking and idle desires, rather it is something that takes form root in the heart and is testified to by actions. » ‎[Iqtida al-‘ilm wa al-‘Amal 1/56]

What Protects a Person from the Harm of the Evil Eye? Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy upon him, said: The evil eye is real and established. If anything were to precede the divine decree, the evil eye would have preceded it. But what protects a person from its harm? The answer is that there are a number of things: First: A person should regularly recite the legislated adhkār prescribed for the morning and evening. Second: He should not preoccupy himself with the evil eye or constantly think about it. If he becomes overly concerned with it and keeps it constantly in his mind, his imagination may overpower him until he believes that the evil eye has afflicted him, or he may think that he has been affected by it when in reality he has not. A person should be strong, relying upon Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and entrusting his affairs to Him. 📚Taʿlīq ʿalā Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (1/654–655).

How do you react when someone insults you? Al-Asma'i harmed a Bedouin, yet found him at the Ka'bah praying for his forgiveness. A noble soul pardons harm and seeks virtue with Allah. Sheikh Saleh Al al-Sheikh حفظه الله

O celebrator of the Mawlid! Know that you are either: 1. Accusing the prophet ﷺ of hiding revelation by not telling us to do this act of worship. 2. Saying the prophet ﷺ was not aware of this act of worship, and you have been guided to it instead of him. 3. You love the prophet ﷺ more than Ayesha رضي الله عنها, Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه, and the rest of the companions رضي الله عنهم - or that you know how to worship Allaah عز وجل better than they did! Know that the one who truly loves the Prophet ﷺ is the one who follows his Sunnah and does not invent new matters into the deen of Allaah عز وجل!

What Scholars Of Islam Said Regarding Mawlid Celebration 🗣️Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: ‎"It is not the proper way to express love for the Prophet ﷺ by holding Mawlid functions. The ideal way is to follow him both inwardly and outwardly. He should be followed, his directives be implemented, his Sunnah be revived, his Message be propagated, and struggle be made by the heart, by the hand, and by the tongue in his cause. This was the way of early Muslims, of both Muhajirin and Ansar which was maintained by subsequent generations of pious Muslims." ‎[Iqtidaa As-Siraat Al-Mustaqim by Ibn Taymiyyah]
