Yesterday, my friends and I had a discussion/debate on why western cultures developed so rapidly while we Muslims lagged behind them. The conclusion of the debate/discussion is as follows: we forgot to focus on "worldly" knowledge and disciplines; we did not study physics, mathematics, chemistry etc; we calmed ourselves saying that we rather learn our Deen; we forgot that in our religion, there is no separation between religious knowledge and worldly knowledge. What we need to do to get back to where we were in the past - that is, being great in any discipline, we need to try to be the best in our craft. Best in our craft. All views above are my personal views, so don't be triggered if you don't like any of the points made above. I myself haven't yet figured out what I want to do with my life, like many people. But, I am on the path to find my "THING" or "CRAFT"

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening everyone. I am looking forward to the winter break so much as I need a break. I messed up a lot of things like others, but I learned one thing: if you want to succeed, you have to learn how to teach yourself. It is what I learned here. In some classes, I am going to the lectures knowing that I will learn nothing and have to learn it on youtube or somewhere. I also realised that it is actually not that bad as having bad professors will help you undersrand that you are the one who can teach yourself. of course, if you have a good professor, it is good for you. Now, I understood that blaming bad professors is not gonna help or change anything. If I knew that when I was in Uzbekistan, I would't have dropped out of uni maybe, instead teach myself the skills I wanted to learn. By the way, I am not saying that the way professors organize lessons are bad here. In actuality, they are knowledgable and always tries to help you, but sometimes the pace they teach and the workload is too much. But still, I am happy with my life. have a good day all

I finished almost all of my assignments. The most interesting courses for me are Linear Algebra and AI+Data science. I am not that good at Data Science, but still trying to build a strong foundation so that I will not have a difficulty when I take a Machine Learning course. Linear Algebra is going pretty good as my MIT professor GIlbert Strang is teaching me very well. The coincidence is that, I am learning Linear Algebra from MIT prof on MITopencourses and learning data science from a book written by 2 MIT proffesssors 😂😂. What a coincidence?! Happy to be an MIT student))

I say plane professor says - no, it is 2- dimensional space. 🧐🧐?? isnt plane 2 dimensional?

Finally, I can get some sleep. For the last 4 to 5 days I was at uni and even stayed at the uni. I found out how hard Koreans study. I admit that they are pretty hardworking, but the thing is, they are not as clever as Uzbeks. I am totally serious. The concept which may take koreans 5 hours to understand takes 2 hours for us to learn. However, they are ready to spend 10 hours to learn just two concepts. But, are we, Uzbeks, ready to spend 4 hours to learn two pieces of knowledge? This is our problem! I have always believed that Uzbeks are much talented than the other nations, but the thing is, we don't use that talent and we are not ready to sacrifice. I'm struggling a lot here with lack of sleep, overload of information to learn, and deadlines, but I'm enjoying every moment of struggle as I know that makes me stronger and stronger every day! Stay hard, brothers and sisters!

I had a chance to talk to a PhD graduate who have published 50+ papers and is working on a biotech-engineering project. The conversation we had was so inspiring. He told me the difficulties he underwent to come to this point in life. The advice he gave to me was - difficulties will go and your time will come, but you need to work hard&smart and never give up. He came from a poor family from Pakistan. He said that he worked so hard to be successful and to reach financial stability. Now, he is in top 5% in his field and makes a really good amount of money. I understood that if you refuse to give up, you will eventually become successful! I pledge here that I will never give up!

In Korea, you see more pets lurking around than children. Some Koreans prefer having a pet to having a child, as raising a child is so expensive here. But look at this beautiful puppy. Her owner was carrying her to somewhere, and she was smiling all the time at metro.

writing down the problem is 50% solving the problem! i had some math questions to solve and i was thinking that they were too difficult for me to solve, but when I wrote them down, a magic happened. String of ideas came to me to solve the problem, and I solved them. All in all, if you have a problem to solve, even if it is not related to math, just write it down.
