What did coming to South Korea give me? Well, first of all, I wanted to study abroad and Korea gave me that. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone so that I could grow, get stronger and change for the better. Second of all, I wanted to improve my health and stop eating junk food which I accomplished due to the fact that finding halal junk food is a bit of hassle. Third, I made many friends from different walk of life and from differnet parts of the world which helped me broaden my horizons about different countries and cultures. Fourth, living in Korea taught me how to actually appreciate things that we take for granted on our daily lives. For example, daily conversations with family members, close friends and relatives. Finally, I found what I am actually interested in, I mean I was undecided about what I wanted to learn and who I wanted to become. Now, I found out what I like and want to get into that field ASAP. I will tell about it later. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to experience and see what it looks like to live abroad. I must say that not everyone gets this opportonity due to different reasons and curcimstances. For those who want to study/live abroad, however country you wanna go, I must say that it is not gonna be easy and you will not have the life you see on social media. The fact that I knew that helped me not to be dissapointed with what I have.

Do people like/respect/value us for who we are? OR Do people like/respect/value us for what we do? I fould out that asking this question helps us identify the two types of people we have in our lives. Those who like/respect/value us for who we are are loyal to us and like/support us however successful we become. They do not care if we are good-looking, millionare or say knowledgable. Parents, siblings, close friends and relatives fall into this category - their love/respect is unconditional. Those who like/respect/value us for what we do recognize our skills, achievements and contributions. For instance, Elon Musk is well respected for what he is doing for humanity. Similarly, if you're helpful and contribute positively to a group or community, people may respect you for your actions. In relationships, both forms of respect can coexist. Ideally, a healthy relationship involves a combination of appreciating someone for their inherent qualities and acknowledging their accomplishments. However, imbalance in either direction can lead to challenges. If respect is solely based on achievements, it may be fragile and subject to change if performance falters. On the other hand, if respect is only for who someone is, it may overlook the importance of actions and contributions.

Thankfully, this semester is over now. I can now focus on other things and rest my mind. Final exam scores haven't been released yet, but I am feeling good. Whatever happens will happen, we just accept and say Alhamdulillah. Good luck for those who haven't finished their exams yet
