Do research on the type of classroom environment you're better with SMU is known for class part being a major part of their grade, while NUS is known to be more lecture-tutorial based. What do you prefer? It may also differ per course e.g. although NTU Sociology is mostly lecture-tutorial, exam based, NTU English is mostly seminar based 3. Research on modules If you're stressing out between choosing similar courses across different universities e.g. NUS Economics vs NTU Economics vs SMU Economics, it helps to check on the modules offered, which usually can be found on each university's course site. While the courses are similar across universities, they may specialise in different things. 4. Special programmes Consider if the university has a particular programme that you are very VERY interested in. For NUS, you may be looking at special programmes like NUSC or Residential Colleges. If you're into research, NTU has the URECA programme. both are GREAT love the vibes of both I can’t lie I didn’t expect to feel so excited or like invigorated by the NUS students but they’re so passionate and ready to risk it all for internships and all mainly just debating on teaching style which is SO IMPORTANT I love SMU’s seminar style but I do care about the brand and the name of NUS (as do my parents and every other figure that has said that nus is the obvious option 😭😭) id love hall life but the commitment is insane… houses in nus might be a better fit if I don’t want to collapse 🤣 so nus wins cause I DEFINITELY can’t afford housing in smu 💔💔 and I don’t really need it either I live 30 minutes away.. LOL students wise I do prefer smu generally for their energy and vibes but I feel like nus students are RLL well spoken tooo UGHHHHHHHHHHH this is tough 🥲 if you guys have any other input or dilemmas to pose feel free to…
