The bar graph provides information about people's daily consumption of fruit and vegetables in the UK. The data covers the years 2002, 2006 and 2010. Overall, the percentages of women, men and children who consumed the recommended amount of fruit and vegetables generally increased. Moreover, the figures for all categories reached a peak in 2006, only to decline after four years. It is also worth mentioning that females consistently took the lead while the reverse was true for children. In the initial year, a quarter of women maintained a suggested intake of fruit and vegetables. This was closely followed by males with 22%, which was twice as high as that of children. After four years, the figures for all categories increased, albeit to varying degrees. The percentage of women eating fruit and vegetables daily reached an all-time high, at just under a third. Men and youngsters, meanwhile, ranked second and third, with 28% and 16%. However, the percentages of fruit and vegetable consumption for both genders and children had decreased by 2010. Having been the primary consumers, the proportion of women was slightly higher than that of men: 27% against 24% respectively. Finally, the figure for children saw a mere 2% decline, making up virtually half of that for women (14%). #task_1 #version2
