Now if you downloaded your setup from your VPS then your profile will be pre imported. And if you have OpenVPN Connect Already installed and just downloaded the configuration file then you need to import it.

Now launch the OpenVPN Connect app and set it up.

Now install the setup

Now run the setup and you should see this warning by Windows because this setup was downloaded from your server and is unrecognized Not A Virus(You can see in the second screenshot). Just click on More Info and click on Run anyway.

Now choose the OS Platform where you want to connect to the VPN and click on the icon. If you already have OpenVPN client installed then you can click on "Yourself (user-locked-profile)" to download the configuration file and manually import it to the client.

Now open the following URL in your browser:- URL: https://YOUR_VPS_IP:943 Now in the opened page login with your admin username and password as before and click on Sign In.

Now If you saved settings then click on Update running server.

Now scroll down and click Save Settings (only if your previous option was turned off and you turned it on).

Now in the VPN Settings there will be Routing section and in there is "Should client Internet traffic be routed through the VPN" option make sure the Box right next to it says "Yes". If its turned off turn it on.

Now go to the Configuration section and select VPN Settings.

Now if you want to connect more than 2 devices at the same time to your VPN then you can enter your activation key that you purchased. Otherwise you can only connect 2 devices at a time to your VPN for free.

Now click on Agree.

Now go back to your browser and login with your admin account:- Username: openvpn Password: YOUR_ADMIN_ACC_PASSWORD_THAT_YOU_JUST_CHANGED

Now change the password for your openvpn admin account using this command:- sudo passwd openvpn Now it will ask you for your new password(Choose it and retype it to confirm it.).

After completion of the previous step go to the admin panel of your VPN by Visiting this URL: https://YOUR_VPS_IP:943/admin and then you should see a message like Your connection is not private, just click advanced and click on Proceed Note: You have to replace YOUR_VPS_IP in url with your VPS IP (some people don't get it thats why wrote).

Now it will start setting up the VPN.

Now it will ask your some questions just hit enter in everyone of the shown in the screenshot.

After connecting to your VPS via SSH you should see an agreement now type yes and hit enter.

Now connecting to your VPS via Windows/Linux/Mac:- If Using Username and Password:- ~use the syntax ssh username@ip-address If Using SSH Key:- ~use the syntax ssh -i key.pem username@ip-address

Now press win-key+R, this should open a run windows in the bottom left corner of your screen. Now in that window type cmd in the input box and click ok or press enter.
