Now wait for it to deploy.

Now click on Create Droplet.

Now in Authentication section choose what suits you best either SSH keys or Password.

Now in Choose a Datacenter region section choose the location for your VPN (Like if you choose New York you will connect to this location and your IP will be of New York).

Now in Choose a plan section select Basic plan and in CPU options select Regular with SSD and select $10/mo size.

Now in the search box input OpenVPN and choose OpenVPN Access Server from the results.

Now in Images Section move to Marketplace tab.

Now select Droplets from the drop down menu.

Click on Create button at the top right corner next to the Notification Icon.

Click Skip for now.

Follow the Steps:- 1. Enter project name. 2. Choose project purpose as Other. 3. In purpose detail write anything. 4. Click on Create Project.

Go to your Digital Ocean dashboard and click on create New Project.

In this tutorial I will be using Digital Ocean.

Requirements:- ~Cloud Portal (Azure,Digital Ocean and AWS is recommended) ~A Open VPN Access Server License (Only If you want to connect many devices with your vpn otherwise free works fine)

The advantage of this network is, that it is fully encrypted and the whole network traffic of the VPN client will go through the encrypted tunnel. The VPN client never access other (web)servers directly, everything will be requested from the VPN server and the VPN server will forward the request. How a VPN doesn’t make you anonymous❓ When you connect your computer or phone to a VPN server, you establish an encrypted tunnel between your device and that server. Nobody can see what’s happening in the middle of this tunnel, not even your ISP. And yet, it doesn’t make you magically anonymous. You’re just moving the risk down the VPN tunnel as the VPN company can see all your internet traffic. Thats why buying a vpn service is not a good idea because at the end your data is sold for marketing. Why do I want to host my own VPN server❓ Having your own VPN means that you have fully control over it and only you are able to read the logs of the server.
